edit: you have no idea, how many silly case studies ive been through where people have thought they have gotten salmonella, but ended up with campylobacter poisoning because they washed the chicken before cooking.

Hmm... well we've always washed the chicken and we have never gotten sick, at least I haven't.

But then I guess it's all anecdotal.

everyone whos eaten chicken has eaten this bacteria, like i said, noone really knows how to control it, other than not washing before cooking keeps the tvcs low.

Some bacteria can make you sick without making the food rotten or smelly, and some bacteria can make the food smelly and mouldy and the food is still edible just not very nice.

And once tvcs get high enough, sometimes cooking is not enough to kill all. Unless you are going to make sure its 100 c minimum all the way through, which i doubt.
