Just got out of the movie, wow that movie sucked. I thought it was going to be at least OK but nope, movie was bad and the CG was horrible at the end. Also Doom's Powers makes no sense.

He blows people's heads up when he first shows up like it's nothing but he can't apparently forgets this power when fighting the Four and instead decides to throw rocks at them for the lulz until he is defeated.

Miles Teller and the guy that played the dad (honestly couldn't unsee Freddy from house of cards) were the only ones that bothered even caring. The beginning of the movie is slow and boring and ending was a cluster fuck of CG and I'm normally the CG apologist.

All and all bad movie, never want to see it again.

The thing is that I don't trust the MCU with Doom, at all. They get Loki right only in as much as Tom H is a great actor. He carries some seriously shitty material with abloom. And Doom's even more complex.
This just sounds like very concerted downplaying.

So who knows if the earlier version would've been better and I'm not making a a judgement if it is a good idea to tweet out something like that. The movie has a bunch of artifacts that makes it feel like it was chopped up with a pretty heavy hand though. Like
the big timeskip after they get their powers
, where you would imagine a lot of the body horror stuff being described in early interviews could've been. Or Reed suddenly telling Susan
he wishes he was adopted
. Which in the final version seems kinda weird;
you hate your parents because... your dad likes to watch sports and they don't share your hobby of writing differential equations to relax?
I could imagine there was more Chronicle-ish material dealing with strained family relations there, but instead we get another big time skip. And I'm not a huge Chronicle fan and saying that would've been better, but it's my only other reference point for Trank's work.

I'm really curious if we'll ever get the full story of what happened.

Reviews that are worse than Pixels. I just...ugh. Like, the only "positive" thing 20th Century Fox can take out of all this is that at least it's better reviewed than United Passions.

I was looking at Tranks retweets, for some reason basketball players really like this movie...

I'm sure they weren't paid or anything.

Just going to say that when being a shill seems less damning than honestly thinking something you know there are major issues.

Is it worse than ASM2 and Transformers 2, bc they are both horrible? Transformers 4 is an oscar winners compared to 2 to me. lol

The more I read about the body horror stuff, the more I wish we could have seen something like that in the film. At this point, there's no way they were going to make a legitimately good Fantastic Four film. So why not go all the way and experiment with some outlandish concepts? Seems Fox got cold feet after they saw what Trank was doing and tried to cobble something together. Shame.

Transformers 4 was a better movie. The 2nd, and 3rd one not.

There is no Transformers 'movie'. That requires an actual plot, for one. And characters!

And yes, the first and fourth are just as bad as the rest. Stockholm syndrome got you.

You guys should stop asking Sanjuro if it's a good movie, he thought the new TMNT was great.

Now that one actually IS a movie, so this is not entirely fair. Let's just stick with ASM2 as the baseline here. "I thought ASM2 was a movie" -> you're out, basically.

No, not really. There were specific things to enjoy.

The first film was a poor man's Spielberg attempt. The fourth had fun people ham it up excessively and it broke away from military porn shots.

The middle two really just exist without substance. None of them are great. I'm observant enough to not grasp at all the straws.

I mean if you weren't listening to me, you might have gotten that. Sure.

I have more of a spectrum than it's garbage or it's the best thing ever.

The new TMNT was arguably the best depending on who you ask, about as offensive as the sequels. It's a franchise marred with garbage. What do you expect?
