Meh, I'll keep an open mind. I kind of like that Fox is giving us Marvel movies that aren't of the Disney-Marvel flavor, it keeps the films from becoming too predictable. Also, I'm not a subscriber to the belief that it just ain't a Marvel movie if people aren't making wisecracks in the trailers. Just because there's no humor in the trailer doesn't mean there's no humor in the film.

No offense, but it feels like you're kinda selecting movies to fit a narrative. He was also credited as a screenwriter for Days of Future Past. Sherlock Holmes wasn't bad and Mr. and Mrs. Smith is pretty well-liked, as well.

James Gunn was credited as a screenwriter for the awfully-rated Scooby Doo movies, as well. Some of the screenwriters listed for the first Iron Man are "responsible" for writing Cowboys & Aliens and Punisher: War Zone.

"Screenwriter" credit is tricky, because it doesn't always mean what you wrote is what was put on the screen. Screenwriters, more than the rest of the production team, unfairly get the shaft, because their work is frequently at the mercy of a producer, star, director, etc. saying "I want to change that because it's MY vision" or whatever other reason.

Kinberg has gone back and forth on it, but if the leaked Sony emails are to be believed, Fox IS making a Fantastic Four/X-Men movie. Probably the untitled film they have pegged for 2018.

Why isn't Sue black, you mean? Because too many black leads makes it a "black movie," and then white people might not want to see it.

This is actually how Hollywood thinks.

Company wars are insufferable man. Probably just as bad as console wars. I can't visit /co/ either because it's even worse with the Marvel vs Fox vs Sony vs DC bullshit.
 
Thought it looked solid, and solidly low-key which is something this genre needs badly.

Also, I'll follow Vince Howard anywhere.

Yeah everything ends in dick waving and not the good kind. It's a shame because not even DC and Marvel comic fans are as in your face with each other as fans of the movies are these days. I fear it will only get worse when Batman vs Superman hits and opens the DCU floodgates.

Can't wait to compare the Stilt-man movie against the Killer Moth movie in 2025.

Also, how has no one posted freeze frames of Johnny and Sue using their powers in the same room or of Doom strapped to a table in his melted suit?

It's not like the property is all that popular in the first place.

I mean, there is still a degree to which verisimilitude is important, right?
 
This thread is cutthroat. You got dudes hoping beyond hope this movie fails, people going on about how all MCU movies are bad but not as bad as their fans, and one guy reporting people for "lying."

Maybe because it features 4 people undergoing a massive transformation while going on a scientific journey? And it has the Negative Zone? And Doctor Doom?

I mean, how is not a F4 movie?

More likely that he's not always in rock form. He changes back and forth like Hulk, just with a different trigger. Kinda messes up the point of the character, but whatever.
