Yup. It's ironic the first recipe they tell you about, requires items nobody even has. The only crystals I have, period, are 4 earth. Everything else I have is shards.

So I can't craft, can't grind, can't party.... what else am I supposed to do while my leves reset?

Play FFXI? Maybe that's what they meant when they said they expected people to be playing both games. :lol

After your 80th d/c (and a bunch of our own) we just ran around as a party killing a bunch of crap and actually got some really good exp.

As a side note. I remember people saying ATI 5000 series VGA cards were having issues with the game. My 5870 has been running perfectly. SE or ATI must have fixed something.

Okay... it let me create a new character on Lindblum but I couldn't load my original character? I'm going to be upset if I have to start over with my other character... even though I only played 4 hours yesterday. :lol

Second character is in Grandia or whatever it's called. Tarutaru Paladin is the name.

Yar, I finally got logged in, and besides the beating my video card is taking and the fact that I apparently must play in windowed mode, I'm floored. Game is gorgeous.

Made a guy on Lindblum, how do we get hooked up with the gaf?

Curse my work! I want to play more but my work D: Anyways chars will be wiped when it actually launches. I think I can manage to play this if they can address the disconnects during Leve issues.

Do it yourself, the npc that sells the crafting tools should have the items needed to repair the starting weapons, dunno if you have a higher one.

I've pretty much switched to Selbina server. I'm running my own linkshell there with 20+ members strong helping each other out.

I feel like Selbinas wise wizard/village chief, because I spent so many hours today answering ppls questions from /shs, /tells, /says. I've already made a lot of friends and ppl asking me if I'll be running the LS right away when game launches to help them out again.

/proud papa. :D

Man, mining sucks so much, I assume it's been like this since the alpha?



Even worse that all the animations and menus take so long to go through, a real test of patience. Only plus side was going from skill 1-4 in a single leve.

I tried asking for help in the other thread but my post was ignored so I will ask here. Earlier today I spent about 45 min trying to find places to mine. In that 45 min I only found one spot. Am I doing something wrong? Are the mining places concentrated in one area?

u need to use prospect to find ur mining spots
there's a lot of them
so yea, u're doing something wrong if u only found 1 in 45min :X

Thought I would post this here aswell so everyone can see it.

Ok we seem to have figured out that you can spam raid crafting and get almost 100% chance of making something.

Crafting is fixed !!!

Use rapid for skill ups and the bold for when you want to make HQ

Got all patches downloaded, damn this thing takes a long time to install.

As a seasoned MMO player but a first time FF player, I guess I should look at the manual?
