Yes, the damage counts. I did it by accident once but we were in a good place and I took no other damage during my debuff so it was easy to heal through.

Yeah that aspect of petrifaction is annoying. Square really ought to tighten up animation vs cast bar vs actual cast shenanigans because Lunar dynamo also suffers from ambiguous cast bars.

Could be worse... you could BLM LB3 during Titan Extreme and cause everyone to die from plumes because they can't see. >_>
I did this on my first Tex kill >_> except people dodged perfectly fine and proceeded to curse at me in mumble.
I don't mind if there's a delay because a lot of MMOs do it where the animation is the thing you need to wait for and not the cast, I just want SE to be consistent. People complained about the same thing for ballistic missiles because the yellow circles would disappear before it was safe to move.

Ah yes, that, one of the only instances in the game where it's not safe to run back in as the animation is going off. Kinda weird considering that the game practically trains you to run into battle animations and such.
Not a huge hurdle mind you, but yeah, consistency would be nice.

Oh really? That's weird I would have expected them to be tradeable, and as such worth millions. Maybe they'll add them to normal exploration ventures and remove the tag eventually? It's a bit weird to add something to quick ventures only, I mean some stuff is already quick ventures only like 1.0 stuff, but adding specifically stuff only to that seems curious.
Hope I can get a golden dye, then I'll craft the AF augmentation for sure, golden AF so gaudy, so good.

Yeah Haman got one too, I think it might have higher priority than other stuff if you quick venture with max ilvl/gathering.

If these end up a decent money-maker, I'd expect to see people taking commissions in PF. A lot depends on ultimate rarity; they don't sound super rare but unsure if everyone will get tons of all of them, or if getting the one specific color you want in sufficient quantity could prove tricky.

Could advertise in shout that you can craft X and Y with gold/silver dye or whatever. Like 2.0 crafting when people were always shouting about being able to make 1star/2star stuff and melding relics.
Bunch of stuff you can't craft to dye though, so guess it depends on what people want to glamour. I think BLM AF in gold is going to be fabulous.

I think silver is going to end up being better than gold--Augmented Saurian/Cashmere Thing Glow + Nexus Glow + Metallic Silver Dye = Become Disco Ball

There's a quest somewhere, though I don't remember where it starts, most likely a capital(or all of them). Limsa maybe. Anyway you do the quest then you have access to ventures. If you've never done it though, you have to level the retainers first, which takes like a long time especially if you can't spam ventures every hour.

Quick ventures the notes said. People wouldn't have completed XIV ventures yet, server hasn't been up long enough.
Gotcha, I assumed people were pulling them from XIV's done on the previous day.
Well I guess I have a reason to quick venture again...

This a HL3 kind of thing? Lol. My friend said this month was likely, but that seemed too soon for it not having a date, but I hope it can make October.
And good on you. One of the worst FFs, but still a fun and enjoyable game.
BRB Pony and Atma farming so I can be the sparkliest ninja in 2.4.
