I just want to know if the materia stuff won't matter now that we're getting new weapons for the relic quest or if the stats will transfer to the new one. (which means we'll still get some people with parry on their magical relic weapon >_> )
 
That's probably why they removed the ilvl sync.

The additional effect in this case would be the +15% damage. If you compare it to the ID wording:

"・Weaponskill direction requirements have been abolished, allowing combo bonuses when attacking from any position."

they specifically say combo bonus (aka the extra potency). There is no mention of normalizing HT potency to a certain amount like ID's either.

I would actually prefer that because I like the directional combos (just not being brutally punished when you can't land them). Guess we'll find out in a bit.

Me too, my biggest issue with DRG was that it was so punishing for zero pay off. There's still not a ton of reason to bring a DRG over any other melee but at least they won't be as frustrating to play?

I hope this includes low level dungeons, then. I won't mess with the relic grind ever again, but this would help a lot with the queue times.

Surprised they gave WHM a new ability instead of a trait.
 
idk, metallic red in cash shop seems whatever to me. It'd make sense if it was like, GW2 style where you unlock the color for unlimited use.

Quick math on their old rotation factoring jumps and so-on puts it at an almost 5% increase + highest eHP of non-tanks.

So pretty much just reliable damage with less effort needed to keep them alive.

So excited for Stoneskin II, especially since I can SS II before tanks aggro boss.. hopefully.

Reason I mention this is that during so of my EXDR runs recently I manage to get SS on me and the tank before they go charge the boss :(..
 
It seems like crafting is heavily involved with the re-relic.
Prepare your butts. Or money purses.

I don't understand why the level sync needed to be lifted in 2.0-2.3 cap dungeons.

And I guess it also means no reason to not just have 4 people helping if you're bringing people in. Seems weird to me.

If it's obvious you won't clear Turn X and it's Sunday night...better to get 1 drop than nothing for the week. Though you have to also consider which 4 static members will go with the 4 veterans? What happens if RNG gives you something for a member not present? Was it really worth it? Though then again, if you weren't going to clear at all, better to take a chance at optimal gear than pass on it entirely, right?
 
Since I can't commit to raiding for now, I'm planning to ask my FC's static for help with clearing then forget about FCOB until it's farmable and I can get Dreadwyrm left-side for collection. So I'm okay with those changes, it's cool, also makes evaluating applicants easy, but chest number decrease is unfair. Not allowing people with cleared flag loot is penalty enough.

A b2p game has a fairer cash shop than FFXIV, confirmed.

People are going to break down in tears when triple triad arrives.

I don't see why not. It isn't like they're missing out on any loot. They can't roll on the one chest anyway.

It's the whole "how willing are people to dump time in to activities that don't benefit them at all" situation.

Well, I'm not doing Zodiac quest so it'll be something to do if people really want me to cut their loot in half.

Then again I do have a second character...
 
Oh yeah, selling Final Coil just became a lot more accessible.
The thing is, Final Coil has so many anti-carry mechanics. Unless those buying have knowledge of the fights and can [somewhat] carry their weight, it's going to make the selling of runs difficult.

For what it's worth it doesn't say Diamond Dust drops every single time for everybody (which is ridiculous if you think about it) in the patch notes in any other language.
Japanese notes simply state it drops. Might be Mirror tier in which case... yeah.
 
Some intern spent 30 seconds in Photoshop changing some color values and now they charge for it.

That's assuming you can singlehandedly carry a group to a clear. It seems considerably more likely that a single-sub situation would just be learning/wiping/whatever. Time sink for nothing but knowledge. The horror.

Like, if you actually wanted it answered. There's plenty of ways for a %stat reduction to not be an equivalent % damage reduction!
