IYeaaah I wouldn't really recommend EX primals for difficulty to a raider, unless your definition of difficulty includes general skill level of pugs.

I don't really know what his skill level is. Does being a "raider" automatically make him a bad ass? :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's not lag (im playing on a wired connection, the game rates it "excellent connection"). it's clear game performance stutter; it's dropping frames. Yeah I've tried to adjust the HUD size and I put maximized all the text size and everything and it's still too small. Especially the dialogue text, menus, etc. Seems to me that square just brought over the PC version and forgot to adjust text size for TV distance.

I always wonder when people say this. I actually reduced the size of all the text on the HUD as it was way too big.

Btw does anyone see an issue with the DRG Heavy Thrust -> Ring of Thorns combo?

The text doesn't state it but you still need to use HT from the flank for RoT to proc.

So either the text needs updated or it's a bug that needs fixed (since positionals were mostly abolished outside of potency buffs). Filled in a bug report yesterday for it in-game.

You do not raid.

Raiding is about taking on and progressing through the latest and hardest difficult raids.

Most everyone here has given up on raiding in this last patch.

Yeah I'm sure it doesn't. It just made me chuckle like: "don't mention Ex Primals to him, kid. He's a raider".

Yeeeeeah, I think there's some sort of pride thing people attach to the label. It really doesn't mean people are automatically competent, especially since raids can mean many different things.

For example, Crystal Tower is a raid, aaaaand I don't think anyone would argue clearing it makes you a great player.

People are already finishing with their 125 relic.
Wow.

Guess that proves the drop rate is better than the Atma drop rate at least.

Is it known if the stats you put on are transferred to the new relic? Or does it still matter what you put onto your Novus.

Wow.

Not surprised. Going a bit casual on it this time, and I'm roughly 1/5th the way through it, assuming I'm estimating the size correctly. Most the dungeons can be ran in a few minutes with a good group, it's not uncommon for you to get the items on the first try, aaaaand the rest is mostly a gil/soldiery/seals sink.

No reason organized players can't plow through it.

Can someone fill me in on what you get by getting married and the difference between platinum, gold and the like. I'm a little bit behind on this patch.

It's been quite some months since I've last played. But I had a level 50 dragoon which I'm completely burned out with so I'm looking for a new class to play. Is the new rogue/ninja class any fun and if they're not. What are the other fun classes lately besides dragoon?

Blocked at work unfortunately.
Ceremony Favors (the celebratory fireworks items), ceremony style & offciant (cutscenes and pastor dude), and number of guests are the same across the board.

For bonus items, all 3 get embrace emote, wedding cake, and hairstyles. Chocobo is for Gold/Platinum only.

For decorations, standard is plain, gold gets an arch over the aisle with 3 colors for carpet and flowers, and platinum gets arch with a boatload of flowers with 5 colors for carpet and flowers.

For cutscenes, the precession and recession are 1 choice for standard, 2 for gold/platinum.

For music, gold/platinum has 12 BGM options.

For attire, standard gets undyeable set, gold gets dyeable set with colored accents, platinum gets 2 dyeable sets (one from gold and another set with silver accents).

Standard is free, gold is $20 ($10/person), platinum $40 ($20/person).

The amount of cash shop defenders on the OF is just sick. "I like giving them more money and think more people should too, it makes them add more content to the game that our sub fees wouldn't" or "how is this p2w when you can't get the best gear? letting me win the house race or whatever against other people isn't p2w".

It's just amazing that these people really have no clue whatsoever. The money made from the cash shop doesn't go towards making the game better, it goes towards telling them they should focus more on the cash shop because they make more off it then they do by having things available ingame. P2w also isn't just being able to get the best gear with money, it also means letting you get ahead of other players by spending real money(aka buying a house or soon to be packs of cards), when they are only doing ingame activities.

The dyes are the worst thing in the cash shop to me. Minions and mounts I can understand being frustrating to people who have to collect them all, but at least they're one-off purchases and then you have them. The past event items is a downer from the perspective of somebody who missed most of them, but I guess it's defendable.

Dyes are consumables with a relatively short shelf life since gear and glamour changes pretty frequently. $1 to unlock the chance for my retainer to bring back metallic blue dye would still be shitty, but better than $1/pot every time I want to switch up glamour. RIP tacky metallic red and green Christmas Lightning plans.

I'll get all up in arms if they start adding p2w stuff..right now, I am really not bothered about the items they are offering.

They kinda fucked up with the bracelets but from what I understand, they "fixed" that somewhat.

I don't think they fixed shit with that maint last night, they just enabled the reservations I think. Plats still being sold from what I hear.

Are you saying it's also too late to bitch about catgirls getting married? Because I'm gonna keep doing that too.

That it's never too late for.
Keep fighting the good fight.

Anyway, I'm not going to defend the cash shop, I think it' silly for a game we already sub into, but then again I've played WoW for ages now and have generally come to terms with the reality of what companies do with them now. Apathy fills me more than any anger that I might have had.

Whatever.
Fuck cats

It is never too late to bitch.

It's been too late to bitch since 2009, when WoW successfully implemented their cash shop. If you're going to complain to someone, complain to the WoW players. Once the WoW players accepted it, that was the end. All games will implement it from now on, because WoW did and look now they're at 10 million subs again.

Turn 1 and 2 of the Second Coil cleared with PF groups! That was fun. Sadly Turn 3 was abandoned after 3 or 4 wipes, which happened because WHM wasn't casting stone skin on people with allagan field. Oh well, queue times aren't as long as I thought, so I'll just try again tomorrow.

Grats!
Allagan Field will still absolutely destroy people who don't pay attention, it's always terrible to see someone eat damage during that phase when they've been told to gtfo.

As far as I can tell, the rings are still tradeable and everything.

Yeah I'm sure it doesn't. It just made me chuckle like: "don't mention Ex Primals to him, kid. He's a raider".

It's because the EX Primals aren't hard at all. They have a very low learning curve and are not very punishing (aside from Titan EX's removing you from the fight). For people doing progression raiding, the primals are fairly trivial. They're not meant to be super challenging content.

It was weird because everything else was going perfectly well. The reason for the first wipe was bad luck with ballistic missiles (according to the others, I had no idea what's going on) and it all went to hell after that. :(

It happens, or someone triggers a reaction early or some nonsense. Suddenly you're 100 to 0 in health in a flash. Managing AF is basically all T8 is now.
