Thanks for the responses guys. I'll do a little research and watch some videos but it sounds like it's at least a little more forgiving in terms of the sheer number of AoEs. I suppose in the end there's no harm in checking it out for myself for a month or two.

As a follow up question, how does Monk fare now? I left the game as a level 50 Monk with a Sphairai although it seems like needs to be upgraded to...Kaiser Knuckles I think?

Monk is capable of insane dps along with Ninjas.

The kaiser Knuckles you mentioned are the last step in a LONG relic upgrade process. Depending on how you spec it, they could easily be your best weapon in the game at current item levels.

It's not just DPS(damage per second), it's JPS(Japans per second). That's how real it is, when we start measuring in Japans.

I'm trying to find them on Youtube, but it's pretty difficult to find. They each were unique though.

As someone whose only exposure to 1.0 was Youtube videos I loved it. I had a friend that went out and spent over $2,000 USD building a new PC to play it and lasted one whole week before crawling back to WoW (which he swore looked better on his new rig, but we both knew better).

Really do question how they thought that kind of combat would go over well in this day and age of mmos. Wonder the same about DQ10 but that also doesn't have much competition when it will never leave Japan.

Those weren't actually flat in 1.0 though, so it had that going for it at least.

I don't know how to phrase this properly. I like how it looked, but everything was so flat. It felt more poppy? Vivid? idk. At the same time it was ugly and just copy and paste everywhere. I definitely liked the character models better though.

Is a pentamelded primal that good? Who would pay millions for them. It can't be for vanity since you might as well just farm the items from the primal itself.
