XIV VO is not very good but it still wins over English one that's just so bad, so bad.
And I've heard my share of bad Japanese dubs.

I've been watching japanese voice dubs since I was 12, I can recognize bad Japanese voice acting. Japanese track certainly isn't steller, but it's okay, which puts it waaaaaay ahead of most the English dub.

Hopefully the voice work for all regions improves in time.

Nah bro. That hat is freaking legit as hell. That swoop is all I'm about right now. Tuesday cannot come fast enough.

Caster gear is pretty shit, which I'm disappointed by. I'm still likely gonna try to gear my caster through WoD gear, but man... I like all of those WoD sets besides that poop tier Ninja one. Maybe it just looks bad because it's purple again

Main Story: The Light of Hope With the new emperor kicked out, and a new form of government set up in the Garlean empire, as well as uncovering a traitor, the Uldahn top brass has begun to collapse within. Holding the remains, Eorzea is thrown into a new turmoil. The fate that awaits the Scions of the Dawn along with the adventurer…the rebirth of Eorzea is headed towards its final chapter.

Sub Story quest: Hildibrand Following the note left by the white masked thief, the next target is Uldah’s treasure. With the 4 sacred treasures at the hands of the white masked thief, a judgment of justice will be made. Can Hildibrand & co. defend themselves against this?

Sub Story Quest: Gilgamesh Hard Mode Wandering through Eorzea, in the deserted old castle lives the rumored swordsman Gilgamesh. Crystal Tower: The World of Darkness Xande from the ancient allagan empire , in the final years of his rule, made a blood pact with a dark lord named The Cloud of Darkness. Everything was to gather a strong army of dark forces…. With the defeat of Xande, everyone thought the danger was gone but the cloud of darkness did not stop invading the world. The warriors of light must now travel to the void – the olden name for the World of Darkness.

Odin Extreme Mode Spreading beyond the calamity, there’s a rumor of a ghost knight wandering the Black Shroud. His identity is “Odin”. Nobody knows why the primal who was sealed in Urd’s Spring was resurrected to the present time. Or why he can continue to respawn… In order to solve these mysteries the adventurers must face against him.

Midgarsormr - Keeper of the Lake 15 years ago during a battle on the lake, one of Garlean empire’s ships said to have come in contact wth Midgarsormr. The remains of the ship are wrapped by the large dragon’s body and is said to be called The Keeper of the Lake (they call it the Tacit Tower in Japanese.) In order to get the remaining bits of information from the Ishgardians, the warriors of light make their way there.

Wanderer’s Palace Hard Mode: After defeating the grudge filled tonberry king, the devoted tonberries finally began to return to their senses. However their desire to live a peaceful life has been interrupted by an invader. The Mamool Ja mercenaries have invaded and taken over the sacred palace. Before they can utilize it as their base, you must save the tonberries!

Amdapor Keep Hard Mode: Thanks to adventurer’s help, the old Amdapor Keep was able to be cleansed of all the cultists and returned to peaceful state. However a bunch of the cultists, controlled by a certain someone, have begun their impure activities once more. Because of all these activities the forest animals and plants are in a turmoil. In order to calm the spirits of the forest, adventurers must once again step inside Amdapor Keep and remove all the cultists from it.

The caster outfits look really nice (dat hat). Tank gear is really meh, so is the ninja one. The others rank from okay-ish to good.

Yeah these are what I was looking at.

Tank set is too busy for my tastes; it reminds me of a more ornate and less obnoxious version of the CT (I think?) tank stuff.

MNK and and NIN are okay but you could tell me they were already in the game and I wouldn't be surprised. Familiar and safe.

DRG isn't super remarkable, but is nice for what it is.

BRD is a boring waste from the neck down; the hat itself is... Okay and sort of decent training wheels for getting fashion-backwards bards still rocking the AF hat

on the awesomer hat train so they'll be able to accept the total superiority of Amon's hat by expac. But neck down is just meh.

Healer set is pretty and feels fairly different--hat of course but the robe itself isn't bad; I kind of feel like healers won with chest pieces this gearing cycle. I like their poetics, Dread, and WoD stuff so they narrowly edge out casters...

Because the caster set looks like they designed the healer set, ran out of time, and said "fuck it just make it black."

I may be secretly hoping stats on the bard stuff sucks so I can just roll on healer stuff out the door; but assuming the bard stuff isn't skillspeed/skillspeed I'll probably end up stuck with it for chest/pants because God knows I need more Vit. It seems like they wasted all their craziness and experimentation on the ST stuff and mostly played it safe here.

Alright so like I said I haven't played in a while but looked up a recent Pharos Sirius vid. Did they redo dungeon music in the pre 2.2 dungeons so they have music playing throughout the dungeon. If so that's pretty awesome.

Well how many sets aren't this? Magician is just a blue Piligrim. Darklight of Casting is just a black Darklight of Healing. Crimson is just a red Royal. Dreadwyrm of Casting is just a dark Dreadwyrm of Healing minus the hat, the list goes on. Now the Ninjas are getting to suffer the same fate though, getting grouped with Monks on recolor train.

In a curious oddity High Allagan of Casting is a recolor of of Aiming I think. Not sure how that happened, but of Healing was just too good to share!

Casting buttwings are better than Healing buttwings though.

I like the English VO myself but eh, like someone said, people like different things.

That trailer made me hype though, main Scenario looks good, dungeons look great, WoD as well.

And in a few weeks later (I hope), Triple Triad :D going to spend so many hours playing it.

It's disappointing that the only real long-term thing in the trailer is Golden Saucer which we don't even get on Tuesday. I guess the long-term filler stuff isn't as flashy but it'd be nice to see what we're all supposed to be doing in between our daily DREX and our weekly WoDs until 2.51.

Hard to say personally since half of them block themselves with their weapons.

A lot do look super busy, though. I like the tank set (sans hat) since it seems to be another tank coat look. Healer stuff looks a lot plainer in-game than the concept art but maybe that's the potato involved.
