Looked like 5 to me. Ahriman, twin-headed dragon, atomos, Cerberus, and CoD.

Atomos as well as three golden chimeras are inbetweeners.
Like if we take CT structure it goes
Pools -> Skellingtons (Boss) -> Atomos -> Thanatos (Boss) -> Vassagos -> King Behemoth (Boss) -> Not-Acheron (Final Boss)
Likewise WoD is probably
Golden Chimeras -> Ahriman -> Atomos -> Dragon -> ??? -> Cerberus -> CoD
Unless Echidna is squeezed into that last mystery inbetweener and she's mysteriously absent from the trailer, she's probably cut solely to preserve the the 30-40 minute runtime.
Not including the fourth counterpart kinda screws up the lore but YoshiP doesn't care.

There is however one more boss temple in the background so idk maybe she's in.

Eckidna's in the trailer, just in Hildebrand's part. So not in WoD.

What was up with the other minigames, is there no gameplay to it and you just click it and do an animation? That would be a super bummer.

Screw everything else, I just want my card games
Not going to lie, when they showed sailor cat walking to the card table in order to play I got super worried you'd only be able to play inside the Saucer. But then she played other npcs out in the world, and all was well. I better be able to play inside instances too. If I can't play it while waiting for Bookey's or Scy's cooldowns, what is the point of this system.

Somebody seems to have convinced them that it's BiS for SMN's and BRDs, beating out 130 gear once pentamelded.

Hm ... well, some of the slots are good enough to compete and all but at this point, shouldn't they already have the i120 pieces of those slots? It's not a big deal for, say, Gloves and Belt on a SMN to use the poetics over their crafted counterparts.

Helm I'd probably get crafted, though, if only because the poetics hat isn't good for SMN compared to Gloves/Belt.

Yeaaah, and WoD gear may fill the gaps where both Coil and Poetics pieces happen to not be very good. Been telling them that, but again, somebody has them convinced that for certain classes the crafted stuff beats out 130 gear.

I'd rather have the i130 VIT at this point. *-*

Also something I pointed out.

I'm finally going to cave and get this for the PS4 since I'm a huge FF and WoW fan. I quit WoW after getting server first heroics in the first batch of raids in MoP since all my friends basically stopped playing, so I'm thinking maybe I'll meet some cool people again in a different MMO. I remember being a bit disappointed with the FFXIV beta because it just felt like a bad WoW clone to me, but I still want to give it a shot. Hell, I plat that garbage that is FFXIII.

I always play a Paladin class when I can but from what I understand they can only be tanks which is usually my secondary profession. The idea of tanking on a controller just seems horrifying to me. So I guess right now it's between a Paladin or Dragoon.

Also, I really love crafting in games. I don't remember much about it in the beta other then being annoyed that I had to switch between classes just to pick flowers or whatever. Is crafting gear actually useful?

It's like the perfect setup for PLD specifically given the number of critical skills. Only MNK feels better on controller to me personally.

I'll have to see when I start playing that far in the game. Just the thought of tanking in WoW on a controller on some serious fights scares the hell out of me. I know they aren't the same game and probably play quite a bit differently at end game content, that's just my way of equating it I guess.

The thought of healing in WoW scares me. The thought of doing anything involving in WoW scares me. That game does not have good default interface.

Oh, and just my two cents.

WoD Tank set is okay, not perfect but certainly not bad. I think I like the look of the new 100 set more, but I'll have to get a closer up view to say definitively. WoD DRG set looks good, but so does the Coil set, so we'll see which set ends up being my glamour of choice.

The rest look better than the ST sets, save for Amon's hat. Angery would fracture me if I didn't make that concession.

To be fair, ff14 is kind of designed with a controller in mind, so it doesn't feel all too weird, I suppose. If you're coming from a culture of keyboard/mouse, though, i can see how it can seem a little dicey at first.

I know I'm a bit late, but I just watched the 2.5 trailer and OH MY GOD I NEED IT NOW!

*ahem!*

Yes, I'm pretty excited. I especially love the music tracks in Amdapor Keep HM and World of Darkness. Soken really outdid himself from I can hear.

Oh, and I have a feeling one [or several] characters will die in the new storyline quests. I really hope it doesn't happen, but seeing Tataru tear up in the trailer...

;_;

All these super complex rotations.
I'm gonna need a new controller for my PLD

I hope it isn't that simple to play, I actually enjoy complex mechanics. I played a Ret Paladin since BC and I remember having to watch swing timers for seal switching every weapon swing in Sunwell. :S

You will be bored playing Paladin. Play Warrior.

PLD is so easy I can mostly do it, and that's saying a lot. It's good for if you want time to watch other people, though.

Amon's hat was bad, just saying.

Kagari stahp. You seem like an alright person and are FC Pro Bard #1, but you need to stop embarassing yourself like this.

People can see you.

Mostly joking, but PLD is probably the easiest class to play rotation wise. Still, you're focused on doing other things like not dying to mechanics so there's that to keep you busy mitigating while you're at it. Also Dark Knight is coming soon too, another tank. You can play WAR too.

PLD is the better Main Tank class, much to my chagrin, but Warrior is a lot more fun to play.
