I would love to see a fight with Neo Ex-Death if the Cloud of Darkness looks like that.
Pretty much the same here. Heck, I would love to fight "regular" Ex-Death head-on.

I realized I was wrong before when I said the optimal melds for the artisan off-hand were Craft III, Craft III, Craft III, CP III and Craft I, if your objective was to get Craft>= 453 and max CP.
I ran my spreadsheet solver and given today's prices it's actually cheaper to go for:
Craft IV, Craft III, CP III, Craft I, Craft I.
Craft IV are only around 110k now and craft III around 50k so it's definitely cheaper this way.

Silvertear Lake in Mor Dhona was some sort of magical seal that essentially trapped all of the primals, making it impossible for them to be summoned. Midgardsormr was laying dormant in some sort of hibernation at the bottom of the lake when the Garlean fleet passed overhead en route to invade Eorzea. He was essentially guarding the lake to stop the primals being released though I'm not actually sure if the Garleans even knew the seal was there...

When the Empire invaded Mor Dhona, knowing it to possess Eorzea's greatest concentration of aether, they incurred the wrath of Midgardsormr, who burst forth from the water to fulfill his purpose as its guardian. Despite fighting "with divine strength and purpose," he, and the dragons that came from Dravania to fight alongside one they revered as a king, could not overpower the might of the Empire's armada.
His last act was a crippling blow to Agrius; enraged, Midgardsormr coiled around the airship and broke through its hull with a massive energy blast. However, as Agrius crashed and Midgardsormr let out a victorious cry, the ceruleum fuel stores within the ship ignited and the resulting explosion destroyed them both. The devastation was such that the Empire retreated to Ala Mhigo and dared not enter Eorzea again until the VIIth Legion under Nael van Darnus was ordered to the western front in 1571.
The remains of Midgardsormr and Agrius still sit in Mor Dhona today, where together they form a monument known as the Keeper of the Lake, and stand as what some consider proof of the existence of the gods."

I'm going to assume if they did feel like Savage Final Coil was worth the development time, the Hildibrand team would not be their first choice.

"Savage Coil is what Coil was originally (because the devs say so) so it takes no time to implement" is also golden.
Mr. D is obviously also responsible for Hildi cutscenes, I don't know what you're talking about.

And I'm pretty sure when Savage Second Coil came out it wasn't in the 2.3 trailer, only in the patch notes. I don't even remember if it was announced before. I think there's still a chance.

You need it for Trials roulette though.
To be honest, as mildly amusing as the Hildebrand quests are, it's pretty annoying having to slog through them to unlock the trial. I'd be more than happy if it were done away with or made truly optional.
I'd love to ignore it but there is a fight gated behind it and you need it for trial roulette.

Alright, so I've been thinking of gauging interest in something like this for a while, so here goes:
As someone who has been a beneficiary of GARF runs of Second Coil in recent weeks, I'm at the stage where simply asking for a carry through Turn X is not giving me what I want from the endgame content. While I'm hugely appreciative of those that have given their time to help folks like myself through this content to get a feel for it, I really feel like I'm missing out on not only a lot of the fun that comes from Coil but also on the opportunity to improve as a player. Getting carried through Coil really isn't going to help me do that. It's a great way to see the fights and maybe get some gear if other people are cool with that, but that's it.
I'm sure there are other like-minded people either inside or outside the FC (and maybe still read this thread) that want to properly do Coil stuff. So...
Would there be any interest in setting up a learning/progression group for Coil? Starting with Second Coil, and doing it properly with a view to doing Final Coil and the proper Alexander stuff in the future. This would mean raiding consistently on X number of nights a week, probably in the evening EST (maybe 5 PM EST? Which would be 10 PM GMT and 2 PM PST).
It would also mean doing this shit properly; learn the fight (to an extent) before you come in. Put some effort into it. There are plenty of video guides available to familiarise yourself with at least the overarching mechanics of the fight.
Same with gear stuff. Make sure that you're Poetics capping and constantly trying to improve gear. Obviously some of it will come from Coil itself, but still.
If there's any interest in this PM me with your FFXIV character name and class, or send me a tell when I'm online in-game (Fiorelle Laurent). I'll be maining SCH, so that's one healing slot potentially filled. This obviously does not exclude people who have done Coil as part of a static before if they are interested.
We can work out time stuff if/when this ever comes together.

You can try calling SE and seeing if you can prove identity some other way.

What kind of person puts a fake birthday on something they care about? I mean viewing trailers on random sites? 1/1/1919 or whatever, but everything I actually need to use, I put my real birthday, just like I put my real name.

I can remember the answer to my secret question but not the birthday however the reset wants both of them. This is the first time I've seen a service ask for a birthday upon trying to reset the password, which is why I've never made an effort to remember what I entered.
And I can't call support since it just says that the "call cannot be completed" every time I try. I live in Canada so I don't know if that might have something to do with it.
I was really looking forward to playing Heavensward but I have no intention of buying a new account and retreading 100 hours worth of content to get back to where I was.
If any officers on the Ultros GAF guild see someone named "Noire Seregon" online, please kick/report them as I am no longer in control of my account.
Good luck to everyone as it looks like my time with the game ends here. Have fun with the new expansion.
