I'd do more coil if people weren't prone to bickering and whining because they take it too seriously. Which I'm guessing scares a lot of more casual people off.
So instead I just do coil with people I probably won't want to slap afterwards.
It's a pretty small set and not terribly reliable, but hey.
You have to take it kinda seriously but you're right, if you're not having fun there's no point.

The thing too is you can end up waiting way more for an hour for a fate to come.
Thankfully I'm using my time by doing something else outside the game like reading a book or watching a movie, but at the same time one shouldn't have to do that.
I watched 2001 space odyssey and Apocalypse Now waiting for 4 fates.

Well, it looks like the pictures are flipped? Cause they have the WoD sets, or what we thought were WoD sets from the Famitsu preview, under the new dungeons section.
They may be holding off on welfare gear this time around because they need to make the content last longer in the run up to the Expansion. Optimistically we're talking about 4 months until heavensward, and patch 2.5 part 2 is supposed to be pretty light content wise, isn't it?
Personally, I just think it wasn't mentioned in the notes. Don't think they'll skip out on at least Carboncoats in WoD.

I've wanted to slap everyone at some point or other, it's mostly a percentage of likelihood of it occurring thing.
I figure it works because if you're so serious you're regularly getting on my nerves, you're probably better off without me there laughing at wipes instead of getting annoyed. Everyone wins!

My stance on it is I don't really mind wiping as long as people are there to try and get it done; I'm not really about people actively trolling or just goofing off during attempts. Like, someone in the group needs/wants the clear so why waste their time?
Because the whole point of LLDR is to not be doing it with a full premade. It's to help those who just solo queue all the time.
Granted, it should probably allow two people queuing together without ruining things but oh well.

you read my mind. So did they change the gear preview pics between the dungeon gear and WoD? I thought the first pic was WoD gear and the 2nd pic they showed was dungeon gear. Also you can get hq redolent logs/antumbral rocks? Time to see what those get me

I tend to assume honest mistakes instead of goofing off (especially since I tend to be on so late--people not operating at peak mental capacity), and outside of Xtech can't think of anyone who intentionally trolls (and Xtech's trolling is usually recoverable if people are paying attention), so I guess I just don't get mad? And tend to not want to have to worry about my inability to mechanics being misconstrued as trolling. Plus in general the quickest clears are going to not involve me so if I'm in the party your time is already wasted, RIP.

Can you not color your chocobo unless it's in a stable? And do you have to buy a plot of land to have a stable?
I think they changed it recently to where you could didn't they? Or was that feeding them Thavarian Onions...?
You need a stable, but if your FC has a house and a stable you can use theirs.
Try checking the chocobokeeps in the cities to see if they have the option of helping you dye a chocobo without using a Housing stable. I'm not sure if it's been patched in yet, but it was definitely mentioned sometime ago that players would be able to dye their chocobos without using an FC/Personal Housing stable.
If they do, here's the crash course:
"Goofing off" is people on alt classes they don't know how to play and trying to do content that actually sort of needs them to know what they're doing, not like ... forgetting to do a mechanic or something. Mistakes happen, I don't really care much about them (except where tanks are tanking things when I'm on a melee, fuck you guys and your anti-melee agenda).
I realize how hypocritical it is to say that when my alt is a WHM.

I don't really think people making mistakes on mechanics is that big of a deal. It's really more about people's attitude towards the content where they're either actively trying to mess things up (e.g., all those T7s right after unlock with "lol stone everyone" going on?) or just going in without caring at all on content that they totally need to be caring about.
Like, I don't mind helping you or Xtech or others on T10/T11 at the end of the week because I know you take it serious enough to try and get it done as opposed to just being there hoping you make it to loot phase.
