The real endgame right here! took like 30 tries of battle in the keep.....
im like 0/40ish on terra's card so far they dont want to give her up, also tried for odins card via his df fight soon changed my mind after afew trys in DF lol

Okay, now that I've finally figured out the Same and Plus rules, I've been having fun playing Triple Triad against NPCs, I need to try playing against more human players though.
Aaaaanyhow, I am worried a bit about the games longevity. I mean, the game only survives as long as they make cards, and with the game being so simple eventually we'll have numerous cards with identical numbers.
That could be years tho, so I guess I shouldn't worry. More immediately, the game needs a forfeit button, for when queues pop. XD

Christ... I have like a 80% win ratio against the Gridanian lieutenant or whatever and still no Kan-E-Sanna card. Plenty of Papylmo and Ramuh's though.

Good thing I don't have to go as the job to get the item, will take advantage of those fast healer queues when I get to that step.
I swear the droprate for that dungeon is fucked.
Took me north of 30 times before I got the item for that one.

That's where new elements come in. For example, the Ascending rule. You can have identical cards with different "types" and they would be worthwhile.

T13 down earlier today. Pretty happy with our clear speed of FCoB, it looked like we were kinda making no progress on T13 for a couple of weeks, then this week in 2 nights we got from having seen last phase once and generally wiping to stupid stuff/divebombs to constantly getting into last phase, which led to a swift kill since last phase is overall pretty easy. Obviously outgearing it like crazy nowadays but eh, it's done.

Hmm it started casting for like 5secs, so we had quite a bit of leeway. Our DPS was fine in the first few phases but last phase I wasn't really comfortable with it enough to weave in dots constantly so my usual 110-120DPS probably dropped to 20, and our monk got targetted by earthshaker like 3times in a row. Video is processing I'll link it once it's done, nothing fancy other than me eating a divebomb like an idiot, I was pretty sure that was the safe spot but that was basically right where you don't want to stand ^^.

If you have a dynamic IP it can be pretty crappy from what I heard, so you do need the authtenticator thing. I think there's an android version, which means you can run it on an emulator, so it's not too much of a problem.
SE doesn't like when people suddenly play the same account from different IPs, unless you have OTP then they let it slide. And for the love of all that's good remember to write down the emergency recovery password they give you if you're using a smartphone app version of the authenticator.

it's necessary. people are getting their accounts hacked all the time. you'll understand when you get spammed by RMT ads via hacked accounts.
Suppose. I mean, for example I guess they could add an elemental rule without too much effort, just an additional icon on each, it'd add a new level of customization to each card. So long as they don't mind shaking things up I guess it shouldn't matter too much.
Perhaps the same could be said about farming for gear.

Official forums main thread generally have good info on various classes. Nin is mostly about 2 things, maintaining the dots on the target and maintaining the ninjutsu rotation (huton > suiton > raiton with double raiton when kassatsu is up, rotation needs to be done before huton fades). Dump off GCD abilities when you can and cooldowns more or less when you can too, though if the long dot(mutilate?) is like 20secs off, you might want to wait a GCD to pop B4B so it's still up when you refresh the dot and so on. Not worth clipping more than one tick iirc.
Keeping track of all the various things is a bit challenging at first but once you get used to it, it's not so bad and the almost complete lack of positionals make it easier to focus on your skills.
Also assuming kb+m, make a macro for Goad with a mouseover(/ac "Goad" <mo>) so you can Goad people without losing your target, so you don't lose autoattacks or worse actual GCD time due to having trouble retargetting.
For aoe, if there's more than 3 I think it's worth aoeing(might be 4) with the knives spam thingie but make sure you keep Huton on, if mobs are going to be in one place for a while, Doton is the most efficient ninjutsu, if it's already down or mobs have low hp/are going to get moved, Katon is what you want to use instead.
If no WAR, you also have to maintain the slash debuff. Makes the whole thing a lot harder but in 8man in general a WAR is there, although that doesn't guarantee he actually debuffs the mob.

It would be cool if they revealed at PAX that they have more classes coming in Heavensward. Even if they don't Dark Knight and Astrologian should keep me busy for a while.
