I feel the need to apologize for every "lol rip" I've ever typed.
The last time I cared was when we had a legitimately AFK person tagging along. As in, walked into each boss room and just sat in a corner and did a collective 0 damage across all the trash and bosses.
I'm still pretty sure that was a two-box situation, though.
But instead I was #2 and I got lightning and my mgp prize got me zidane. Praise be to the dead server.
No, that's too pro for me. Only people with mad skills can do it.

I don't get mad, I just get disappointed. In the human race. For being that dumb. Especially when that one moron causes a Scylla wipe by dragging an ice ball AND FREEZING EVERY SINGLE MELEE
nope, not mad.
I just consider that a situational awareness check for melee.
They usually fail.

how about the stupid as tank that won't ready check before Atomos in CT and we wipe three times because there aren't enough people to stand on platforms
or when we wipe to Amon in ST because nobody is killing Kum Kums

I don't think it's possible for anyone to fix the douchebaggery that comes with GAF. You just gotta kinda deal with people and their collective personalities just like any other social situation in life.

Yes, the basic is that.
Going more in deep there are other significant differences:
- PLD can reduce it's damage for longer and continous periods of times, outside of Shield Oath. With Rampart, Sentinel, Bullwark and the last resort of Hallowed Ground, you can maintain reduced dmg for quite some time, (and you can add Convalescence on top of that). But of course you have to take into account the cooldown, instead WAR dosn't have as many dmg reduction skills, but Inner Beast allows the reduction of damage more constant and more easily avaliable when it's needed, that's the reason that on fights like Odin, WAR is always prepared fo those big attacks, while PLD, without more pin point control of skills, can easily end without skills when needed.
- Hallowed Ground is a very significant difference, since it's great as a last resort or "oh shit!" button. WAR Holmgang is never as useful or effective.
- Storm's Path and Storm's Eye, gives WAR a great utility that PLD just dosn't have, that's why both of them works so well together.
- Also due to Overpower, Steel Cyclone and Vengeance, alongside Berserk WAR is just better when dealing with a huge number of adds/trash. I mean PLD can do it too, but while all he can do is spam Flash, WAR can keep the hate while dealing a decent amount of AoE dmg. (Also infinetly more fun...)
- Although total DPS might be closer between the 2 jobs, the fact that WAR gets such a big burst (but shorter) boost of dmg, makes him ideal for dps races phases or for taking adds faster. Berserk + Storm's Eye + Maim + more critics + Vengeance and your PLD just can't make that extra push of DMG (And WAR can do it while using Defiance and neglecting the penalty on your DPS with Unchained)
The point is, both jobs are quite equal these days, and the reason you might want to MT with one or ther other depends mostly of the content and which fits better for the task. Normally PLD is more apt for the main bosses, while WAR is better for adds, but that's not always the case either.

Well, there's some niche uses of Holmgang that only work because of Holmgang's cooldown. It can eat the charge in T10 instead of doing the tank swap, for example. But, yeah, Hallowed Ground is just generally a better version since it flat out prevents all the damage.

Pretty sure worse. I, uh, didn't find the roll button until like... the end of the second set of quests? and only figured out what the 'switch' in 'switch axe' means after that. I just made it to the second location? I ragequit the egg delivery quest like five times.
I AM SOMEHOW WORSE AT MONHUN THAN FFXIV. I also never play online so if there's some asynchronous thing then 2234-7155-6504 but I have wifi off like 95% of the time.

There's nowhere near the fighting going on here, like there was in OG CoP in XI. Feelings got hurt. Words got spoken. Games got deleted.
I've never been ashamed to say that most of the endgame content I've not done a lot of, though now it's mostly the EX Trials and the Coil. I also will rarely watch video's or read strats. Just kills any learning enjoyment from the game. I'd rather get basic strats in game, or just "read and react" to what's going on.

alt tabbing is a key part of every pld's rotation
One of the NPCs in the housing areas sell NPC Merchant permits.
One of them places a Junkmonger in your house, another a Material Supplier, the third being a Mender.
