HF -> Elementals phase transition is the hardest thing there actually. Very narrow windows, and if you get Nael to 47 at a wrong time it's an instant failure, no recovery possible.

I figured as much, in most the fights so far, transitions have always been the points where groups were most likely to mess up.

In game support is pretty terrible, I dont mind if they cant help me, but just the same canned response over and over (well three times) is aggravating

Ingame GM support is all over the place. Depending on the request I've had help immediately and delays of a week.

SE support has always been hot garbage. I've coasted by so far because I haven't needed them for anything. The GMs are too busy giving people bandaids over their hurt feelings about being made fun of in /shout for pulling a hunt too early or something.

Sure. Just giving that as an example of a bad transition.

Edit: I've seen some 1 tank groups that still push 5+ Meteors. Bad DPS are bad DPS :x

Please donate to the Low DPS Foundation to solve this bad DPS crisis in Eorzea. One of our headquarters is now in Lavender Beds, Ward 4.

T9, really, REALLY should have had a mechanic that absolutely, positively, FORCED two tanks. Hate how few PF's out there ask for two tanks. Also, it's a shame they don't have anything on the more casual side of the game, that penalized people for not using a proper rotation. I dunno, they need training dummies that read your ilvl and give you a score when you're done whacking away, or something.

Yep! If something works, then it works. I am curious about your craftsmanship and control on the CRP when you were doing the recipe synths.

At first I tried them with both the AF weapon and an unmelded Artisan OH. I was coming up a little shorter in progress then i wanted, so I had to go ahead and meld out the OH. I believe the difference between AF and Supra is 42 craft/22 control, so I'm pretty sure I was at 409 craft/385 control. Actually didn't take too long believe it or not!

It's called Savage

Ravensblight was originally intended to be a tankswap and claws as well I think but who cares about that

I tend to just score myself when I'm done whacking away.

I'm generally disappointing

Ravenblight should have probably caused infirmary, if not hit like another beak all together.

Not sure what the fuck I just wrote

I realize, but they're mechanics that can be ignored relatively easily if people are on their toes. Thankfully, I think the devs now realize that this player base WILL go without a second tank if at all possible, and are paying closer attention to this....

....That said, Shiva can still be single tanked. <_<;;

They blew all of their cool two-tank ideas on T13.

We need more weird ass /kneel (actually /heal iirc) odin mechanics. Some weird shit where a manderville will cause a debuff. Give it to me SE, throw it into a dumb Gilga EX mode.

Really wish people wouldn't quote Tabris when he directs comments towards me. Not even sure why he's doing it at this point. (sigh)

I was commenting like I would comment on any post someone makes.

The ignoring thing is getting funny, especially in game. There was two recent moments.

1) I joined an S Rank PFer and Tia actually left just so he wasn't in the same pt as me for a 2 minute fight lol

2) I was in Mor Dhona heading to Aurianna when he was jumping around and actually stopped when he saw me and ran away like I was the boogey man lol

Just weird.

To be fair, part of the Shiva one is just out gearing the fight for the debuffs.

I realize that. XD

Shiva, like Leviathan, was/is meant to be farmed by everyone whom happens to be up to date with the content. So the DPS checks are relatively soft, and well geared tanks and good healers can just heal through the debuffs.

I still prefer multi-tanking that though. Requires a bit more coordination because of the addition of tank swaps, but it's more fun when it's done right. XD

We did two tank, two healer, three DPS T9 last night. Two tank for life.

To be fair, your party is more closely geared for handling T12 at this point. I mean, that's in addition to your DPS all being near/at their class DPS ceilings.

Heck, I think Bookey might be on the roof at this point.

Wut? Why would you ever not have a bard this far into endgame? Unless you're going caster only, which even then bard buffs them, then I would seriously question how anyone would ever get to t9 without a bard, it's required if you have any melee other than tanks.

Seriously if you are even attempting t9 without a bard and even a single melee in the party, then give up now. You are not downing t9 without being massively overgeared without one and you sure as hell aren't going to see any phases worth mentioning in t10+.

This pretty much. Proper invig management means you don't even have to worry about tp as anything until the final 2 phases. Save invig for once you start the run and you'll be full on tp by the time golems spawn, for tanks it doesn't even matter since 600+ tp by golems is more than enough to hold agro on them or the boss, especially with the downtime they can have if you kill golems fast enough. If someone doesn't know how to properly use invig at this point though....why are they even in t9?

When I do T9 race car as Monk, I don't even need to Invig for the following golems. I've always naturally gained back enough TP during the run to finish out the phase, and hit full during Megaflare.

Therefore, I feel like

However, if you don't have a bard, your tanks and melee are kinda sunk in the following portions of the fight.

Can be classified as another Tale from Nuadha's Butt.

Admittedly, all the race-car attempts I've been in have failed for one reason or another. (Usually because of a DPS popping sprint before Invigorate, and not getting the full sprint duration.)

I still don't like popping sprint and blowing all my TP though, especially as Tank. I'm willing to do it if there's a bard or ninja around, but I still don't like it. I absolutely HATE leaving TP regen up to either time or the whim of other players to fix.

Do you hate using weaponskills as well because it reduces your TP from full?

You'll have enough time to regen TP during golems + Megaflare waiting + early Heavensfall. Guess that'll just come down to being comfortable with the fight to knowing how much TP you'll actually need.

or just spread them out instead and not deal with it anyway :x

Again, I prefer the spread out method, I've had better luck with it.

You had me check. Between meteors starting to drop and second batch of golems becoming targetable there's full 30 seconds. That is 600 TP available.

If I had a single use weapon-skill that took me from 1000 to 0 instantly, you bet I'd be reluctant to use it.

Even if you don't need TP for the next 30 seconds?

And that the next Golem phase will conclude before you can even spend it all?

I'd have to know that for a certain before using said 1000 to 0 drain weapon-skill, and there would have to be a suitable payoff to using it. (a 100 potency off GCD skill for example, wouldn't be worth it in any circumstance.)

Incidentally, a thought just occurred to me. Are Ninja sprint speeds the same as everyone else, or faster? If the later, do they have to slow down if they're doing the race-car method?

Silly question, but I don't have much experience with Ninja's yet.
