Having fun so far but the enemy lock on is pissing me right off. Let me toggle instead of holding in the targeting button and autoswitch to another target whn current is slain.

Oh my god... Yes. It's so confusing as to why they aren't implementing a lock-on system that isn't a giant useless pain in the ass. Square please patch the fucking lock-on.

Also there's a skill that gives you AP for camping, so resting in hotels isn't necessarily always necessary.

3. I have a giant sword called the War Blade? Or something. In combat, RANDOMLY, sometimes Noctis will just be standing still charging up an attack for 5 seconds and then attacking. Like... Is there any way to prevent that? Because it's annoying, and I don't understand what triggers it.

I'll try to answer what I can, still in chapter 3.

2. Square on PS4, as far as I know.

4. Regroup for Ignis, increase wrap damage, 1 target attack for Gladios.
5. Add big magic quantities, like 40 fire, ice, thunder, and add something that makes the lvl high, you can get more than 3, dunno how though, probably ascension, I have 5.

There are more actually. Like you can get some weapons from the Coliseum or some through selling the carrots you grow in Cape Caem. But we are mainly talking about in-game vendors and Royal Arms.

This is even worse for me as when there are multiple enemies you constantly have to press 2 damn buttons for locking on since after slain a target the targeting system does not pick up a new target. Also if you blink you need to re-lock your target.

It is a mess really, I have no idea what they were thinking. A simple damn auto - lock system and a toggle for lock on to target would so easily fix this issue and make the game much more enjoyable.

It is hard as hell to focus my attack on a single target when there are lots of enemies around. I lock on to a target and then either because I blinked or because I used a special companion attack I lost target/moved to the next one...

Oh god this story is such shit. I'm up to Chapter 10. Man you could tell this script was thrown together at the last minute.

Keep the button pressed to parry. To dodge roll, you have to press the defend button two times.

Warp dodge costs MP so you can't do it literally forever though the MP cost is fairly tame. As for why you get hit, are you still in an attack animation? That's the most likely reason.

For dodge press it once, for block keep holding it.
Probably because you don't have MP, you need MP for the block as far as I know.

The prompt does not mean press now but incoming attack. You need to be pressing when the attack actually hits (if it does) for a chance to parry.
And yes, if you are attacking you cand defend unless you have a specific upgrade in the Ascension combat board.

Some of the more unique ones are locked to side content, which sucks but gives incentive to try them. I found a lot of upgradeable weapons from the quest in Cape Caem.

If you're stuck in an attack animation noctis won't dodge until he's finished with the animation. This only really matters with two handed blades as the recovery animation is incredibly long

I don't want the main story to be TOO easy but I love love love doing the hunts, the quests are rewarding and have some nice or funny interactions, etc.

There are some very challenging boss fights later in the game so you won't ever feel it is 'too easy'.

I think in the Tutorial it says that you have to actually hold the block button before the attack actually lands on you. I think if you press block at the right moment when the attack lands, you wont trigger the actual block
