Thanks. Not sure how far I am into chapter 1, but I doubt I'm that far. Still just doing the hunts in the firs area. Almost done. How long is chapter 1? I'm a completionist.
That's a bummer, i really wanted to use it but not at the expense of being one shotted :/
I guess it's more of an end game weapon then.

It'll still unlock itself randomly though. The camera really needs some extra work. That, and the map not being able to display all quest locations at once (unless I'm missing something) are literally my only complaints so far.

Really wish you could select Noctis' casual clothes without the hat.

Doesn't seem to translate HDR well into screens.
If you eat certain good or sleep at some hotels (like the one in Qualdin Quay) you get EXP boosts. I was lv 17 when I started cp 3, but it really depends on what you explored and what quests you did, since some enemies and quests give way more experience than others.

Yeah the movie helps flesh out the story quite a bit, and it's an enjoyable enough watch. I liked it

For reference I put around 8 hours into it and completed everything there was to do before advancing the story at all.

I'm still really early in the game. I had the option to drive the car manually for a while but I haven't been able to do it in the last couple of hours, the option is always greyed out. Why is that?
Also, I don't want to spoil myself by looking at the Trophy list but how are they? Any particularly difficult one?

I was wandering in one spot looking for something for a quest, and just couldn't find it, but I ended up being assaulted by magitek units every 30 seconds. They didn't go away. I got insane amounts of EXP from that.
Had the same. Unlocks in Chapter 3 - it was temporary active in Chapter 1.

I would like a Warrior of Light outfit for Noctis. The SEED uniform would also suit the game aesthetic but would be too samey to their main outfits.
I think that we are getting a Santa Claus DLC costume with the update next month.

Pretty where I'm at. Love doing all the side missions first. Means you can just enjoy the story by smashing the shit out of everyone rather than potentially sitting through a long cutscene only to die on the boss and have to replay it all.

Mine was glitching in one of the dungeons in the game. Noctis and party cannot heal up no matter how many Potions or Hi-Potions I threw at them. I was ready to just reboot my PS4Pro when I random tossed a Phoenix Down (at a party member that's alive, during non-combat moment), the game accepted it and Noctis just healed up fine to maximum from his dwindling pool of HP. It's like they're the walking dead or something. It was frustrating coz I can't possible beat that last boss in that dungeon with double digit HPs on everyone.

Awesome moment yesterday that took me by surprise.

the camera cuts away to an Imperial airship, Aranea jumps down and joins my party to help me kill the daemons. Then when we're done she jumps off and leaves. I LOVE this.

Watch Kingsglaive, other than that there isn't much to miss. You can argue whether the desicion to make a 2 hour CG prologue was a good idea but as someone who's just reached chapter 5 just right now I think these complaints are incredibly overblown. It's Definitely not a mess and thus far everything you need to know exists but whether you want to take the time to pay attention to it us all on you.

On another note I just did the
base infiltration in chapter 5, but Aranea never showed up? Did I miss something? Just a cutscene with Ravus and Ardyn and then it was over (and a few grunts and machines of course).

Just started Chapter 5 (after the mess that was 4). I have no idea what this game is about. The storytelling is vague at best and at worst, incoherent.
It's just... boring. This could have been an incredibly epic tale but they're telling it in the least interesting way possible. The game itself is okay, for the most part. I'm not a big open world fan. It just doesn't really contain many of the things I look for in a Final Fantasy and I can't imagine ever bothering to replay it.
