Does all the equipped weapons affect my stats even when they're not the active one?
For example, if i equip the /nd royal weapon that brings down my defense, does my stats stay the same even when i'm using a sword or they switch everytime i change weapon?
They fucked it up in the English version. I'm assuming you are playing in JP.
Yes, the current weapon deck does have an effect on the stats.Asking again since the only reply i got didn't seem so sure:
Because i want to use that Royal Weapon Axe but i don't want my resistance to drop to 10 all the time lol
Only possible in post-game and can be done as early as right after the ending. How early is it possible to craft the Ultima blade?
I'm actually playing in EN right now. Seemed fine to me. What did he fuck up?
1. Think Sleeping Beauty. Two rivaling kingdoms who simply can't get along decide to have their children wed to unite the two kingdoms. However this is a ploy on the rivaling Kingdom to take Insomia's magic for themselves. But why this Kingdom with such advance technology needs magic is beyond me.
2. PLOT HOLES. PLOT HOLES GALORE. Luna leaving for Insomia was changed because of Kingsglaive. Really most holes in this game story is because of Kingsglaive. I'm going to keep pointing fingers and this movie because it single handedly FUCKED up this game's story from making any sort of sense. Really fuck this movie for ruining this game's direction and giving details. And fuck this movie for not even explaining the backstory to even make it worth watching. Really you have to jump through the whole multiverse and read interviews on the story to actually know what's going on.
3. Why Luna and Noctis can't just meet at end of chapter 1? She shouldn't be there in the first place, cause last minute rewrites. Or I'm sorry, cause Kingsglaive, that's why.
4. Inconsistency. And Kingsglaive has both nothing to do with Final Fantasy XV and then again everything to do with Final Fantasy XV. Seriously this movie was a complete after thought.
5. PLOT HOLES. Or she simply doesn't have Noctis number nor knows anyone who does. Granted she does have like 3 OTHER forms of communication with Noctis. She could had been tied up, setting other things in motion, and so on. Really her character doesn't make sense and is just there to have a female presence and move forward with the story. Yeah great job Tabata, remove Stella because her character didn't make sense and replace her with Luna who could had just been replaced with a lamp and nothing would had changed.
There are so many secrets in this game. I need a spoiler-free walkthrough.
That moment when you run out of gas and have to push it to a gas station.
"Conan was right"
Mind your gas. That moment when you run out of gas and have to push it to a gas station.
"Conan was right"
You don't know what he continued with singing?I don't like the way he is saying in EN and it's not as obvious as the JP one.
Also in the JP he stops after chanting the fanfare and doesn't continue with the....whatever the hell was he chanting in the EN version lol.
You can fast travel to last rested location and once there, have Cindy tow the car to that place. That moment when you run out of gas and have to push it to a gas station.

Im finding it hard to decide if this game is for me. I think the combat system will be the point at which I decide but after watching some videos im still not that sure about how it works.
Do you hold a button down to auto combo and then just hit dodge and parry numbers as promps appear?
Can someone give me a more details breakdown of it because I would personally want it to be more involved than that otherwise I think i would get bored pretty fast. Holding a button down to combo isn't that appealing to me.
So far the pros for me are its visuals and looks like a pretty interesting world to travel and the friends banter is prob fun.
But going against it are what I always assumed (and many reviews have stated) is a bad story which strange pacing and while the characters may be likable to some they all seem rather one note which doesn't really do much for me.
So really Its down to the combat system. If that is more involved than it appears then it may be able convince me.
You could've just towed it though.

Just tow it.

Is there a way to check the overall stat? Noctis dies quickly for me.Yes, the current weapon deck does have an effect on the stats.
Realized that just after I arrived lol
Anyway it wasn't a negative experience. I was laughing the whole way there.
I like both.Here

It's annoying and not as obvious as the JP version, but maybe that's just me <.<
You mean the rest of the song?
I drove out of Lestallum for what must have been only 30 seconds. It was like 10 minutes pushing it back lol.How far did you have to push it? I have had to push it once, for half a mile. Was so pissed after a quarter of the way, and so I used the menu to get it towed.
Never again.
It was the same in FF1-6 and 9.The "rest of the song" is different in each game though, I think? Pretty sure he sings the FF9 version.
In short: Easy to pick up, hard to master. You CAN just hold attack for regular enemy groups, but that will lead to much slower progress and two problems in particular: Your max HP will drop if you aren't dodging and blocking, so you'll wear down over multiple battles; You won't have the skillset required to defeat tougher enemy groups like night time battles and higher level hunt quests.
The basics are you hold an attack button to chain attacks, and you hold the dodge button to auto-dodge all attacks (costing MP each time, so you can't do that forever). The depth comes from:
Positioning: Back attacks deal extra damage. If you're also positioned near your own party members, so fighting as a unit, they'll join in with your back attacks for Link Attacks, causing massive damage. There are abilities you can unlock that further boost this damage, cause auto-crits, etc, so with great positioning you can end regular fights much faster, and stand a good chance against tougher encounters.
Warping: The teleport ability allows you to jump into the fray quickly for heavy damage, but can leave you out of position for group attacks, and drains MP fast so reduces dodge capabilities. You should regularly be warping to safe points and high ground where your MP will refill instantly and your HP will recharge much faster. If you can keep track of your surroundings and use the environment this means you can keep a fast and aggressive pace up. It also looks flashy af.
Weapons and Magic: All enemies are weak to certain weapon types and magic elements. Think of this like FFXIII's paradigm shift I guess, where you instantly switch to a different combo to maximise damage. The damage boost is significant, so you'll want to be doing this. Magic, I find, is worth using sparingly but for big game changing impact. If you can group enemies up and hurl a high damage triple-cast Fira at them, you can literally one shot entire groups.
EDIT: Party Techniques: Forgot this one. You know how traditional FF games have pop up menus when it's your turn to act, and you can select bigger abilities like high damage skills, heals, etc, as well as just attack/defend? That's still here through techniques. You build up Technique Points (TP) to fill up to three bars. Each party member can learn different techniques, and you assign one to each of them. That gives you three techniques to choose between in battle that will cost between 1 and 3 TP each. Some examples are Gladios teaming up with Noct for a big single target damage; Ignis calling for a tactical regroup where the whole party gathers back together at a location that leaves all the enemies in front of you (see positioning for why this is awesome) AND heals the whole group at the same time; Prompto taking some action photos mid-battle, just because he can =P
The "rest of the song" is different in each game though, I think? Pretty sure he sings the FF9 version. I love it though, playing the EN version, and I couldn't stop laughing =D
Have you never played any of the pre-VII Final Fantasy games? Because aside from IX, I through VI all used that same fanfare too.

Are there certain meals Ignis can make an infinite # of times? And if so, how can you tell?
Look at the ingredients. They are listed alongside the meal menu. Are there certain meals Ignis can make an infinite # of times? And if so, how can you tell?

Can be used for magic or certain quests might ask them. Are treasure loot worth anything other than selling for gil? I mean on the menu there is a tab that is called Treasure and the description says that it is valuable.
Was just wondering if it is safe to sell them or they are used elsewhere?
