Do we have high hopes for the DLC being any good?
I wouldn't say high hopes, but I am interested in seeing how each of the episodes turns out. Will wait for impressions but if they seem good I'll definitely pick up the season pass. Also am very intrigued at what they will do with multiplayer, I really have no idea what that's going to be about.

Do you all recommend I watch Brotherhood and Kingsglaive before starting 15?

I'd go Brotherhood -> Chapter 1 -> Kingsglaive as some folks have already mentioned. It's probably the most optimum way of doing viewing it and provides the backbone and in the right order for the game.

Gladios dawnhammer, promptos gravity ball, recoil and trigger happy and ignis overpower Nd I forget the name of the one where he exploits a weakness are all damn good.

I am still enjoying the game I just hit level 20 and I am currently in Chapter 3. I do just have to say fuck those Magitek Engine Dropships! I was fighting an Iron Golem and doing pretty well then this dropship comes in behind me and dropped a fucking level 76 Mech behind me. I had no idea it was there and it proceeds to one shot everyone with some kind of missile barrage being as it is 56 levels higher than me. It was kinda funny to see but irritating nonetheless...

Late game spoiler based complaint and question incoming!

What the hell happened to
Tennebrae?
They showed glorious daytime footage of the place in March and now we just get a black shadowy silhouette? Somebody turn the damn lights back on even if this is all we get to see of it. So yeah that fucked me off big time.

Now question time. Bahamut... he's either going to only appear in the final fight or not at all right? He won't be summoned in the open world like the others?
Simple yes or no will suffice.

no.

and to reply to your question on the last few pages, that information is never given in game but
promptos dad is Verstael
.
Tennebrae
not being in the game, is ridiculous.

Not hard to imagine the man was reclusive.

Besides, they didn't recognise him so they very clearly didn't know what he looked like.
That's almost recursive logic. The point is that Ignis at the very least should have known who he was and somebody in the game should have brought it up even casually as to why Ignis, of all people, didn't know. It's not like he's keeping a low profile considering Imperials immediately know who he is by sight.

Does that mean episode 1 of Brotherhood and then Kingsglaive?

I really struggle to see how people find this part hard to understand...

The chancellor helps your party numerous I times before the realise who he is. He has his own agenda that we're not aware of yet.

There's a cutscene where he tells the emperor it would be beneficial to keep Noct alive, so he clearly has interest in him. The emperor still wants him found asap.

After Titan is defeated, the area is falling apart. Empire troops swoop in to try to capture the group, but before they can the chancellor offers them a way out.

The group are confused why he would do this, but they have no choice. He rescues them for reasons unknown to us.

The empire troops notice the group's car and impound it. Probably hoping it will impede them and make their capture easier in future
.
That part is fine. The problem I have with is the terrible jump between scenes.

It's really easy to imagine how someone like Iggy wouldn't know the man's face. Plenty of reasons, myriad even, all perfectly logical and easy on the senses.

The fact the game didn't offer us these things is the flaw, not the idea itself.

Yeh for sure, this is where the narrative really fails imo. Happens a lot, too.

Lol the Admantoise fight in this game is so bad, boring and the combat system is just not a right fit for an enemy this size.

Say what you will about FFXIII, but I loved fighting Admantoise and Long Gui in those games, although if the Admantoise was the same size as the one in FFXII it might have worked here.

Am i doing somethin wrong regarding summons (Ramuh)?

im during a fight, its a close call, suddenly the music starts playing and the L2 symbol shows up - i keep pressing it (tried both - keep holding and pressing it several times) but nothing happens. atleast most of the time - it worked on 2 times out of 7

it really sucks if you can't even rely on the summons
Like actually press it for longer and walk around, thats what did it for me

Also finally got that Sturdy Helixhorn -_-, took a lottt of loading and retrying. Thanks to the people that helped :)

no.

not being in the game, is ridiculous.

See that brings me to my main issue with this game. The story is actually good IMO, filled with potential. But due to it being given very little time to be told within a lot of it falls flat. Case and point, I can't even remember who
Verstael
is and I remembered every other important character since I went out of my way to pay extra attention to what little we have. Also, it should have been in game.

It just kind of makes me a bit let down since I can see a really great template here, it just needed fleshing out.

I seriously was not expecting Prompto to be my favorite character, let alone one I actually relate to a bit.

That optional motel conversation got pretty real, wow.

I'm becoming addicted to hunts and sidequests, I keep avoiding main story and just go off doing other stuff lol. Love this game!

Only being able to do 1 hunt at a time killed any desire I had for them.

This would be fine if you could cash them in/choose new quests via your phone or something.

Really missed a trick here, could have avoided all the unnecessary running. But I guess they like that to inflate the game hours. :(

I'm stuck in the ice cavern for a Sword on The Waterfall quest. The marker leads me to a dead end with a path above me I have no idea how to get to. I've explored all the available map as far as I can tell.

Anyone?

Look for a tiny ledge to pass through. I got confused here as well, but the map is actually VERY clear. Check for a line with a lighter blue in your map.

Hmm i remember at some point you have a ledge you have to walk on by pressing A to start the animation, see anything like that?

Gladio is the fuckin man. He puts Noct in his place constantly

but I'm really curious to see why he decides to go off on his own a few times during the plot. I mean, he essentially just doesn't do his job as royal bodyguard after he explains how proud he is of doing it.

Which super expensive nodes are the most worthwhile? Have about 700 AP banked; not sure what to get.

Air dance is vital couples with the aerial attacks that recover MP.

You might want to get the armriger up too.

But to make the game easier, get air dance and negate damage nodes.

just finished the game, ch13 was dogshit but the rest was AWESOME, i loved it, loved the story too, even the ending.

Now i gotta do all the post-game dungeons and stuff, will buy season pass, personal goty for me.

Altho i dont liek the summon system, i havent been able to summon titan ONCE!
Ramuh six times, Levi only 1. can you even summon shiva if it isnt against the final boss?

Im actually dissapointed by the fact that the Iron Giant is the only Daemon that seems to spawn during nighttime, along with the occasional Goblin and fireball thing.

Would've been cool to have a variety of large Daemons pop up at night.

I've summoned all of them, but it all varies on location and there are different animations sometimes as well.

Arachne can appear in tunnels while driving and sometimes appear with Red Giants if outside.

I personally love the Summon system. I think it makes the Summon seem like the deities they are instead of being pets that the protagonist can call on a whim. They decide when to help you.

I know many people will disagree, but this is something I wish they keep for future games.

I haven't been able to Summon
Titan yet. Ramuh 3 times. Shiva 3 times (No need to be on the final boss), Leviathan 1 time.
