What banter? Unless my game is bugged for the first 20 hours my characters said the same like 3 or 4 lines to each other while walking around.
I'm over 20 hours in so far and if it weren't for brotherhood I'd have not a goddamned clue who these people were.
Okay at this Resident Evil-like section lol.
I don't need some super involved cutscenes. I do need something better directed and cut, though. And much more interaction with my party.
i've had all the ap abilities and have done most of the side quests throughout each chapter. i'm at the end game now and just got my first 333 ability. i can't see one 999 ability being feasible without a lot of grinding let alone multiple
Go to Cindy and you should see a bunch of colors with the required color ore to unlock it.
Ending spoiler question. So Noctis and Luna are some sort of astrals kind of like Gentiana or something?
Yeah, that tension is just heart-pumping as I'm on the run, back-tracking back and forth across a map doing groceries for shopkeepers. The story is intentionally backseat because the premise is that you're practically on the run and are hearing information from secondhand sources. The characters are deliberately left in the dark about what's going on, and this plays into the actual game design; the story isn't at the forefront, but you're set loose after an established premise so that you can play at your own pace. What you're saying seems to be that because the crazier story events don't begin until much later that there's "absolutely" nothing going on, and I don't think that's true. Noctis is also out in the world visiting the tombs for his powers which I'm sure will play into how the story unfolds later.
Can GAF briefly explain how does Elemancy work? The game does a very poor job at explaining this.
I suppose if you don't listen to banter between the characters or pick up on the subtle story telling via the world, that might be true. It's really about the crew before huge story bits start to really get going. I was totally into it and not bored at all. I can see why others wouldn't enjoy it though.
They sold me on it.The cup noodle advertising in this game is strong.

The higher level AP requirements definitely are insane. No point bothering with many of them.

What dungeon ?Did my first dugeon crawl and came up against a level 65 boss. My ass was promptly handed to me.
I have. 333 is still a shit ton.I think if you unlock the exploration nodes you'll be gaining AP like candy. Fishing, camping, driving, chocobo traveling and racing, etc.
I think it's important to note as in pretty much any open world game with some sense of urgency that the shit you can on the side should be considered "non-canon" so to speak.

Them staying low really confused me in the game. You'd think they'd be staying low, but I can't think of a single thing they do to try and stay low profile. They go right into towns no problem, never attempt to hide their faces or keep Noctis hidden. Funnily enough, this helped remove any tension that the game should have had.Sorry sir I guess I should have said that your team is trying to stay on the down low, which is correct. I don't recall saying a thing about heart pumping tension.
Disagree in every aspect. You should just stop now as you'll only hate it more. This is...not a good game.
I'm trying...really trying to find any redeeming qualities. I can't.
The combat is still bad. Neither a good action game nor a good strategic game. It took FF XII's battle system and made it far, far worse.
Just got to Chapter 3. I'm going to try to continue but there's nothing really pulling me forward. The story is a bore. The characters are a bore. The combat is a bore. The exploration is a bore. The landscape is a bore. The novelty of the open world has worn off. The seems are coming apart and all that's left is mediocrity.
I did better once I left my dumbass teammates dead. There is no battle to better show off their terrible AI than that one. Don't be afraid to put combat to easy also. He has a ton of HP.Chapter 13 boss help required:How the fuck do I do any decent damage to Ravus? I'm only level 35 and am thinking I may be underleveled for this one as he's kicking my ass up and down the hangar.
Ehhhh..... pass.I just went from level 10 to level 25 from one Bandersnatch kill before heading to chapter 2. Stayed at the hotel for a 2x XP boost after cashing in.
4x Debased Coins crafted with 99x Fire for Level 16 Expericast. I also ate a meal for a 20% Experience Boost.
You can farm for Rare or Debased Coins for XP bonuses added to your Magic at blue nodes. Save before a blue treasure node and if you don't get a coin, load up the save until you do.
You can definitely break this game's leveling system really easily.

The problem is that going on hunts and side-quests with the bros and the subsequent camping are more or less essential to the characterization of them.I think it's important to note as in pretty much any open world game with some sense of urgency that the shit you can on the side should be considered "non-canon" so to speak.
