Yeah hes neutered. In Duscae demo the stealth makes sense as you try to tackle it stealthy as well, by laying a trap. In the game it doesn't make sense as you just need to fight it head on.
I'm 17 hours in and haven't even progressed through the story that much. Just obsessively doing sidequests and hunts. I rarely bother with those sorts of things in games, but I find it hard to stop this time. Something about this game makes me want to milk out every last sweet, succulent drop of it.
Ramuh at night looks incredible. I also got a special/different animation for him triggered during the chapter 7 dungeon. Still haven't seen Titan, my crew hasn't dying lately.
I also killed my first Red Giant, didn't get anything for it though.
actually there are attributes that dictate who will come.
For Titan, a party member must be KO'd.
For Ramuh, it had to do with the duration of the fight.
For Leviathan, Noctis must be in danger and water must be nearby
For Shiva, its all of the above. basically you have to be really fucked and near water.
Yeah I've been using it for that. Still feels like an awkward bandaid and at some points doesn't work because it's reliant on Ignis himself being in a spot farther away.
No no, Dino's a person lol. I should've clarified, the 2x hotel is indeed at Galdin Quay. The person you talk to is to the left of the female chef. It's somewhat hard to miss.
I got my Chocobo to level 6 and it said I unlocked Dance de Chocobo which supposedly boosts stats but I don't see the option under the menu. Is it triggered by bringing Zidane into battle or what?
So I just reached Lestallum, parked and turned the game off. Level 30.
I'm thinking of doing whatever remaining hunts I can do at this point, MAYBE attempting that one dungeon in Leide, then perhaps continuing on with the story for a little while (I say this, but I'll probably get distracted by sidequests every chapter).
I have some questions:
1. What is this "Expericast" people are talking about? How do you create it? The game explains Elemancy horribly TBH
2. What chapter can you get all 13 Armiger weapons in? I obviously have two for now that are story related but I have no clue if the game points out all the other tombs for you.
3. What chapter do you get the whistle to call enemies? I think I'll officially grind when this happens
4. Is there a reason to keep stuff like "Behemoth tusk" or the coins or can I just sell them? I feel like the descriptions point out that they're simply there to sell.
Well one of the super dungeons is glitched for me and I can't get to the entrance. You're supposed to warp to the other side of a cavern in Daurell Caverns but the highlight doesn't pop up for me.

I'm not surprised. Game has a shitload of content. Overlevel a bit, and then suddenly the content that was too challenging to attempt is now stuff you can do.
Plus if you wanna save up EXP you're gonna be wasting time at night too
It's extremely easy for this game to be super long.
Now, I'm not sure how lengthy or full of content the chapters after 3 are, but I'm 18 hours in, Level 30, and I just reached Lestallum, and I can easily see myself finishing Chapter 3 at like 30 hours, maybe a little more. And there'll still be things I haven't done, like all the damn rescue missions, or anything involving fishing.
The one where you get a Magitek Shield at the end? If so, I just beat it a hour or two ago myself. Was hard af, especially because I was stupid enough to not have potions on hand for the longest time. I used up literally all my elixirs, potions, and Phoenix Downs, and ended up having to beat them with their own artillery lmao

1. You cast it on monsters, and then I guess you get more EXP once you kill them. The more coins (Debased, Rare, apparently you should save your Oracle Acension Coins though) you use to craft said magic, the more EXP you'd gain. For example, I used a bunch to kill this one boss monster, and got about 120k EXP or so.
2. No clue. Look up a guide for that one.
3. I wanna say Ch. 4 or 5? I forget. It's not really all that effective for grinding though, unless you mean grinding for AP.
4. May be used to upgrade weapons, help Ignis to come up with/make new recipes, etc. So far I've only bothered to sell stuff that I have a bunch of.
Wow... Angry Joe stream: Low on items and even mentions that there wasn't a vendor in some time. Continuous to walk pass the next vendor with nearly zero items into the next chapter.
Sorry for the Twitter quality shot, but I just had to share this one since it may as well be the best pic my Prompto took in my 8:30hrs of playing the game:
Moved the story along to chapter 10. Man, this has been the quickest 30 hours I've put into a game, gonna probably get 100 easy lol. Reminds me of when FF12 first came out. Just grinding, exploring and hunting. Well, time to go back to the open world and get some things done.
