lolWho?
Exactly.

Wow, Elder coeurls are fucking assholes.
I'm 10 levels higher than them, but it's no use.
I'll come back to them after grinding to level 90 at least.
Sure it's been asked, but there is no way to set up your own control scheme right?
And if not is type C pretty good? Really like the phase button being on L2.
Costlemark at level 50. Phew.
Didn't even get the dumb emerald stone I went there for lol. 2 hours and no save point... Fortunately the game let's you use a phoenix down when everyone is dead.
Best dungeon in the game by far, amazing how much better the side content is then the actual game. This dungeon destroys chapter 13 in every way possible.
Fuck that place. I almost threw my controller. Although, after reading online, apparently I'm one of those people who didn't understand how that place worked and got royally punished. I blew half my mats in that hellhole.

Can someone tell me how close I am to beating it please?
chapter 13. Power keeps going off and I'm turning it back on while going up still. Already got the sword of the father.
Trying to decide if I want to stay up to beat it or go to bed. If I'm really close to the end I might just finish
...i just.
The story seems like such a mashup of nonsense.
Im at chp 12.
Im hoping some big thing will come along that makes it all make sense or be worth it.
Dont get me wrong i love the gameplay and just doing hunts and i want to see endgame dungeons but the main plot so far is just doing fuck all for me.
3 - 4 hours at the most if you beeline it.
I'm 70 hours in and I still occasionally hear new voice lines.
Type C is awesome.
Haha I took. It's difficult and confusing, but reminds me of the good old JRPG days of suffering through dungeons and enemies encounters until you solved seemingly obscure puzzles, but they click when you figure it out.5 cubes before it occurred to me to check the map and go where I hadn't been yet, I didn't realize there were different paths, everything else it was great though, challenging fights, etc. I had to do the 3 giants and Naga from screwing up and it took everything I had spell wise to even manage surviving. Thankfully end boss was easier than the rest of the place.
But besides that I loved the aesthetic and everything else that came with the dungeon compared to the majority of what's in the game.
It's a 3-4 hours chapter in a +40 hours game. And some parts of 13 are actually good, the only problem (IMO), is that the chapter it's too longI wasn't planning to get this anytime soon, but it's very tempting with Best Buy's B2G1 sale... What is the consensus on which is the best version (performance wise) between PS4 and XB1?
I also wonder when specifically they plan to "fix" that questionable chapter. I was talking to a buddy of mine and he said up until reaching that specific segment, it (FFXV) was a must buy. After having to trudge through it, he said to wait for a price drop. That chapter must be awful for him to say that (he's an avid FF fan).

And the patch for this chapter will be released only next year, and isn't gonna fix the problem
It's the suck us what it isChapter 9 done. Mixed feelings on the whole thing.

Castlemark Tower is BS. 3 fire sword monsters, and then a Naga appears. Lost almost 2 hours of progress.
I'm level 47. Where are some good high level quests?
I'm at chapter 6 right now, level 33 and about 22ish hours in. Does anybody here actually use the Royal Arms regularly? I find the health drain outweighs the increased damage most of the time. I usually just have a couple equipped for the stat boost and use the other 2 slots for normal weapons that I actually use.

Xenogears
I mix them in with my normal weapons, usually to end a combo for some added damage. One of the things the game does really well is let you switch weapons fluidly so it's great to take advantage of that. I also use then during armitages as you seem to be invincible, as in you can't go into danger by running your HP too low during it.
I'm not sure how the stats on equipped weapons work, it seems permanent, but the Royal arms have at better extra stats so i usually keep two equipped almost as accessories.
Just survived that same experience at level 50, loved the whole dungeon, only thing that resembles any difficulty in the game. It's easy to be frustrated, but the fight was manageable if you played it right.
Type C is awesome.
fuckin-A it is
Always have complete camera control/battle-framing while being able to still attack/dodge/roll

How are shields supposed to work?
Also, how do summons work? The prompt for Ramuh seems completely random, and it's just a one hit kill move for the most part.
Wow, you guys were not lying about chapter 13. Holy shit this is bad.
The first part is so incredibly tedious. Are the axe guys supposed to lose their weapons after a dodge attack, preventing you from dealing damage to then unless you use the painfully slow drain move?
Luckily I'm into the second bit, which is still bad, but not as incredibly terrible.
I mean, did anyone on the dev team actually play this chapter? Jesus.
