For Those Buying Final Fantasy XV: Which Version Are You Getting?

Just whatever the cheapest one is. Gotta get through this garbage so I can complain about it for the next few years.

I'll never understand bullshit like this.

Deluxious version. Want the steel book and kinda want to see Kingslaive so made sense with Prime discount. It's FF and i'm a sucker for FF hype so may get the season pass. I feel so dirty doing it but again, its FF. It's why I wait and buy most everything else during PSN sales to make up for weak moments like this.

I've had the deluxe edition preordered for quite a while, but I'm thinking of downgrading it. I'm not really a fan of Kingsglaive and I'm not sure I'm all that fond of the busy Amano artwork, either.

Edit: It looks like I accidentally bought some version with some sort of plastic model? One more reason to cancel it.

Friendly reminder that Discover is offering 5% cashback on Amazon this quarter.

Protip - load a gift card balance with your Discover card and apply it to any existing Amazon preorder and it won't effect your place in line (like changing a credit card/shipping address does to an existing preorder).

I got the one with the steelbook.. not sure what edition it was called.

I had Ultimate collector's edition preordered, but canceled it was just too expensive for me and wasn't worth the price. If they
As for season pass, I don't have any interests in the current DLC plans so I am not bothering with it.

Whatever version futureshop had listed 3 years ago. Got two copies one for both system for $30. Going to sell off one and basically get the game for free. Collector editions are not worth the extra money imo.

Got the regular edition I think... I have a hookup for early releases but they're typically deluxe editions so we'll see.

Collector's editions or anything never really appealed to me. Is there a version with a soundtrack?

I have both the regular and deluxe edition pre-ordered, but I'm probably going to cancel the deluxe and roll with the standard for $48(Amazon). Will play on the PS4 Pro.

I have the regular edition on preorder. I'm thinking about upgrading to the deluxe edition because that steelbook looks awesome. Also I enjoyed the movie so it would be nice to have that bluray.

ALL. OF. THEM.

I actually have all three tiers of physical versions on pre-order.... I have to decide which ones to kill or I'm gonna feel real dumb lol.

Probably going with my Ultimate Collector's Editon + re-sell a standard edition from Gamestop to grab the King's Tale DLC pre-order bonus.

Ultimate Collector's Edition and planning to play it on PRO. Hopefully it'll be worth.

For thoose who order from square store.

In my order sheet it shows price, was just wondering if that price includes shipping and tax cost?

I mean the UCE is 269.99 and my cost shows 280.98

That literally only leaves 10 bucks and that wouldn't be half of what tax would cost me. Is it normal they show one price and then it cost more on ship day? Only customer support is a claim ticket...

Just the regular version. Not enough faith to order special editions, but then again Bloodborne is the only game I bought CE for in any gen so, it's not like special editions are the norm for me anyways.

This is sad tho, because 2 years ago I was ready to buy CE edition and even double dip. that's how hype I was back then lol.

Already preordered the standard version digitally on Xbox One. I hope the game will be good, right now i've been quite disappointed by latest release, besides Gears 4 there hasn't been nothing worth playing to me

I'm not really confident enough in the game to go for anything other than the standard edition, I'll be there day one but I'm still not sure if I enjoy the combat system

I'm kinda bummed. I had the UCE ordered and was all-in. But then we found out that the PS4 Pro was coming, and launching very close to the same date... hard to justify a $300 and $400 purchase right next to one-another along with all my other purchases in Nov. I still have LEGO Dimensions things to pick up, and a bunch of other non-gaming splurges already lined up.

That, and I didn't really like Kingsglave enough to own it, and the UCE doesn't come with the season pass, things just started adding up.

So I've decided to go with the Day One Edition on amazon. The road trip event Amazon is doing for the free dlc seems kind of cool, so that will help sweeten the deal. I'll also grab the Season Pass and, if I like the game, i'll order the Noctis PAK (standard edition) seperately.

After thinking about it, the only item from the UCE that I feel like I'd really be missing out on is the figure -- which is silly since it's available separately. I won't get the Lance, but i'll live.

Just don't feel like the value proposition is very strong on this particular CE.

Shit, was that an option? I'll cancel my pre-order from Amazon then, since I live in Asia.
Well yeah, you can pre-order this on PSN like any other big release.

There are also some pre-order bonuses. A theme for PS4 and some in-game items including a weapon.

I haven't pre-ordered it yet, but I'll probably will if the reviews go up early and are good.

I had the Ultimate Collector's Edition pre-ordered, but cancelled it a few weeks ago. The more I thought on it, the more I realized that it just wasn't worth the extra money (for me, personally). I'm more than happy with what the Deluxe Edition (+ King's Tale) costs me, and it's a fraction of the cost.

I know I could have kept the pre-order and sold it on the aftermarket for an increased price, but I've never been a fan of doing that sort of thing. I'd rather cancel my order and let someone on the waiting list, who genuinely wants it, a chance at receiving it for the MSRP.

Im getting the Ultimate Collectors Edition. It was too hard to pass up. I really wanted to get it. I know Ill enjoy it.

I want a version that has BOTH the anime and movie on a Disk, but I can't pay the astronomical number for the Ultimate edition.

For the time being I'm going for the Deluxe edition...
... unless you know another that has a retail Anime without the Swag.

Does the digital version of a game usually run better due to reading off a ssd as opposed to a disc? That's my main deciding factor.

Just the regular one. The Collector's Edition doesn't really appeal to me, especially not that ridiculous price tag. Although, to be clear, I understand that it's really expensive due to the Play-Arts Kai figure, and as much as I'd like to have that, there are other things I'd rather spend my money on. The Deluxe Edition is also, sadly, not appealing to me. I like Amano's art enough, but I don't know if I'd consider myself a fan of them? So, yeah. Regular.

ReGular digital version. I don't care for any dlc if I'm going to be spending so much time to be beat the vanilla version of a game.
