Qualifying is actually called ”qualifying practice" so there you go.

How hard can it be?

These new cars are physical beasts.

The 2014 car had low aero with an overpowered engine that you had to tip toe around with in order to keep the car on track and not ruin the tyres.

The new cars need a totally different approach and demand more confidence, commitment and Gs in places that you would t expect in the 2014 cars.

No wonder, car is in Monaco mode today on this track. i think it could be a damage limitation race for Mercedes, because their tracks are coming after summer break

Apparently it's about ~27C today, while tomorrow it's expected to be 30C+ at Hungaroring.

Zero practice going against guys familiar with their cars who have been driving on the track for two days.

Getting out of Q1 would be an incredible result.
