Alonso to indy 500!
If he wants the triple crown, yep.If he does Indy500, he HAS to do LeMans. Right?
I have assumed for a long while that he would race Le Mans eventually. Wouldn't have guessed he'd do Indy and definitely not while still a F1 driver. If he does Indy500, he HAS to do LeMans. Right?
Alexander Rossi came out of freaking nowhere after Caterham and Marussia went kaput and randomly won the thing in 2016, so why not?
It's surprising that Alonso is willingly missing out on all these significant Honda engine upgrades that Wax has been preaching.

It is not known whether the Briton would want to come back to drive an uncompetitive car.
Is it confirmed Button will be replacing him? BBC were throwing shade at Mclaren in their article:
I guess Alonso wants to remember what it feels like to finish a race. He's clearly got no fucks to give at this point.
Yeah, the car will probably magically break down when someone passes him again. 👀This is fucking hilarious.
Watch him retire during the race, because the engine broke down.
If he wants the triple crown, yep.
That's assuming his persistent chest-beating about being "in the form of my life" actually translates to anything worthwhile at the 500...

He won't be missing out, this is his dream
Andretti won the race last year, and Alonso is one of the best drivers in the world... of course he has a shot at winning.
This is awesome. Will def be watching the Indy 500. Is Montoya still racing? I am sure he will give him some pointers. I don't care if it is in a golf car, I just want to see Alonso fast again.
So is this to keep Alonso sweet? I can't imagine he's very happy at Mclaren at the moment.
Excited or not?
Excited or not?
Holy shit! This is crazy news. I'm going to claim the OT for the Indy 500 if that's alright with everyone.
I won't be a Jr by the time May rolls along. As a Jnr?! Unprecedented.
What kind of training is he going to have prior to the event?
Private session plus all of this:

It's probably the only race where that car has a genuine chance!I'd give anything for mclaren to win in Monaco now.
McLaren's third driver is Oliver Turvey. It's going to be fun for him to make his F1 debut at Monaco.
