Forza 5 Showroom | New cars and details for Forza 5, ongoing reveals

Rivals class screen in question:

ZMybbsm.jpg

Same as FM4 i imagine?

The structure has definitely been changed. E- and F-classes are seemingly gone, and P-class is new.

Had E and F gone or been shuffled? man I haven't looked into the car list but loved driving the slow shit.

There definitely aren't as many slowpokes as in past games, but I imagine the class reshuffling is due more to accommodating the high-end Indy and Formula cars.

so I downloaded and watched both videos, and to say the truth, I feel a little like this:

make-it-rain-gif.gif

anybody else feels like he is in the same boat? :D

small detail: the "old" gasoline guzzler, the audi R8 race car, with that beauuuutiful v8 fsi twin turbo, was a 5-time leMan winner, and only lost to a bentley race car, that -get it- they put the same engine on it before pulling the audi gasoline for diesel engines ;)
when they moved on to "diesel power", I was told that whenever they happened to have a chance to test both cars on hotlapping, the "old" R8 fsi would still rip the diesel newer race cars in absolute times.
I dont know if this holds still true for the r18 too, but at that last turn the way the r8 attacked sure reminded me of the above (unofficial) story. 8)

I just want to understand if it is a patch of content or is it around other stuff, will It be needed for the game to be playable?

Because content seems to be reserved for DLC now so I am just clueless to what the hell is the patch about or what we can expect to be different from the build that the press has been playing...

I still stand by what i've said before.

There's two ways they can fix this:
1- Add all DLC content day one/reduce the price
2- Include all Aussie cars day 1.

If the latter is chosen, I'll be Turn 10's bitch forever and become FordXYGTGuy.

3- Just dump a bunch of missing Forza 4 stuff in to the game unchanged.

As far as i am aware it was mentioned somewhere that the patch would be need to finish the single player side

they havent mentioned the day one dlc content in a very long time and now all press is specifically stating content "on the disc". i'm bracing myself for all of that to have been shifted to paid dlc down the road...

No, that was corrected. You can play through the entire game and get all achievements without connecting to the internet.

The patch adds some extra cars and tracks, just like in Forza 4.

Le Mans qualifying times for the R8 were around 3:30, with the R18 e-tron dipping below 3:24, even with comparable trap speeds on the long straights. The R18 could also sustain near-qualifying pace for much longer runs.

As much as I loved the old veteran, (especially in the hands of privateers), the new car puts it in the shade.

So that would mean that day one game with patch would have more than 14 tracks and 200 cars?

Not counting paid DLC?

Well thats a better solution then all i ask from turn 10 is that all tracks make it into single player modes

well, yeah, but when the r8 was competing officially, it had restrictors on the turbos that where larger than the size of the turbos hehe :D
that engine was a beast , and a masterpiece of technology testbed

Ditch that aussie stuff. First basics, later exotics.

All of the MS Stores are supposed to be have Forza 5 playable starting today. There is one literally across the street from where I work so I am going to go check it out on lunch.

I will let you know what build it is.

lol, somehow I managed to miss your post!

Of course I agree with you, I am the one yelling the most about microsoft's greed here.
But I do feel like throwing money in what I see on the screen there, and thats not microsoft.
that's some god-dam talented and hardworking coders.
these, these I want to pay! mucho!
also I want to see an interview of the engine & physics teams and chiefs, those who get their hands dirty! i respect those

60% increase in dlc price is a shitty thing to do,
day 1 paid dlc is also a shitty thing to do,
possibility of a more than one 50e passes is just crazy!
they need to be burned by this.
but thats microsoft, not t10, and especially not t10 coders!

so, yeah, again what leBoef said
the only reason I want aussie cars in, is so i can beat you in your favorite car!
I'll even buy them just for this :ppPpppPPp
