It's flute from GoT. You unlock new melodies that can change weather with flute in the first game, so I expect shamisen will play (sorry) some part in openworld interactions here too.

Venom is next year. Wolverine is 2026. Spider-Man 3 is 2028 on PS6. X-Men is after that.

Sony Santa Monica doesnt have two teams as far as I know, whatever Cory was working on was a lengthy pre-dev period for their next title. So they finished Ragnarok in 2022 and moved over to Cory's project.

To be clear, I do think the game will have woke crap in it (Sucker Punch is located in Seattle), but I don't think a female protagonist is necessarily a symptom of their ideologies.

The protag being female makes it less believable, but it's a video game so can look past it, but if she is gay it's a clear sign of an external group such as SBI being involved.

And she already looks much better than every woman characters in Ghost of Tsushima or any previous Sucker Punch games.

Look....i'm buying it day 1 as I bought Ghost 1 day 1, but....this looks dated.
I would say yes, we have a few bad actors that will say this SOLELY to downplay it, but as someone who likes this IP, I'd have to agree with the visuals looking dated. My frist impression during the trailer was that it was Ronin DLC, then Ghost DLC and then when it showed a new character i thought it was like a PS4 / PS5 title
At no point did I feel this was PS5 only, so when they showed just PS5 and it was a new title, I realized it looks this way because they are likely using the same engine to speed up dev time, as to why it looked like DLC or something.
I'm not saying this looks bad, I like how Ghost looks, but I did expect its sequel to make use of PS5 just like the first game did, to the point of us thinking it was a PS6 game sorta like how we thought Ghost 1 was a PS5 launch title at reveal lol
I think it looks good James, but I got to give my honest opinion on it.
