I play on the Pro same as you with ray-tracing but in certain scenarios like climing a shrine in the early evening or when its raining. There is some kind of filter that its annoying. Hard to descbribe it1, Until someone comes up with a face and clothing randomiser that as more AI based then this is just the nature of the beast with open world games. (edit: sorry, re-read, I see what you mean, errr, I don't really have that problem? they look different enough for me to recognise the main NPC's individually)
2, Setup issue? I don't have any issues with the lighting, or are you talking about the engine's lighting? I have ray-tracing on and not perfect, but certainly not bad at all
What really shocks me is the poor quality of the German dubbing. Completely atypical for a Sony production. All men in the complete game are voiced by 3 actors. The most common of these three is the voice actor of Barry wheeler from Alan Wake and Daxter from Jak & Daxter - not really a professional performance. Even though voice recycling often is inescapable in such big games I've never experienced it so bad.
In addition, the sound quality in the pre-rendered cutscenes in ink-style is really bad.
You can activate more blood for better effect in the options menu but more limbs flying would be a cool edition.I had an hour to try the odachi and yeah it takes 2 weeks to land a blow but after a single power up, it seems to kill every type of enemy with a decent amount of hits and the triangle guard break seems useful against all type of enemies, hopefully the chained blade is useful against all enemies aswell since that is usually the weapon that excite me the most, but the odachi is not bad, very useful in duels since it does like 3x times the amount of damage of the katana (seems like the damage multiplier for enemy type doesn't apply to 1vs1 duels)
But the game really lack a much better gore system, the game scream for it, some kill animations look like you should cut enemy in half...
Also got the flaute player armour and upgraded to the max but i had to turn off so i didn't tried how easy is to parry now.
P.s. for people who advanced more in the campaign, does the game have companions missions like tsushi? The one with numbers from 1 to 9.
I already play on miike mode, the gore is pretty much the same of tsushi and tsushi gore was kinda crap and very limited. You can activate more blood for better effect in the options menu but more limbs flying would be a cool edition.

Miike mode adds blood spurts gushing from downed ennemies, which was not in Tsushi if im not mistaken.I already play on miike mode, the gore is pretty much the same of tsushi and tsushi gore was kinda crap and very limited.
I'm not asking for super advanced real time dynamic cuttings ala mgs rising\shadow hunter 2 or super detailed gore like tlou2\di2\the beast, but countless of games have better gore than this.
I'd like to think they've learned their lesson this time, but I know we're gonna get the same exact shit next time a game drops. Months and months of woke whining, and PS3/PS4 graphics comparisons off highly compressed youtube videos.Idk why people thought this game would be "woke". The first game wasn't. I don't think Nate Fox, the head of SP is woke unlike Neil Druckmann. Just because the voice actress is woke, it doesn't mean the game will be. Voice actors/actresses have no creative control over the product.
The odachi is the perfect weapon for fighting random enemies that you can perfect parry with the Bounty Master Armor(flute player set) bc it gives you 3 hits after a perfect parry and the odachi deals ALOT of damage per hit so you can kill em with a single parry.I had an hour to try the odachi and yeah it takes 2 weeks to land a blow but after a single power up, it seems to kill every type of enemy with a decent amount of hits and the triangle guard break seems useful against all type of enemies, hopefully the chained blade is useful against all enemies aswell since that is usually the weapon that excite me the most, but the odachi is not bad, very useful in duels since it does like 3x times the amount of damage of the katana (seems like the damage multiplier for enemy type doesn't apply to 1vs1 duels)

Yeah I play with english voiceovers and she did a great job.Even though these games are best played with Japanese voiceover, she's actually done a very good job of the English voice over (child voices aside, but those are very infrequent throughout the entire campaign).

Im in the oni area and i think 1 got only a single upgrade in it and it wrecks everything that is not a duel..i have yet to try that.
I wear that armor the whole time now.
Get over it. Her views are her views. Yours are yours. God forbid not everyone think exactly like you!Yeah I play with english voiceovers and she did a great job.
Fuck her views though
Nice. I'm not even close to this level of progress as I still only have single and dual katana. Spent most of yesterday clearing hideouts in Teshio Ridge and fully upgrading the Kunai. Did you get it yet? It made the Nine tails leader so easy with just dual katana. Kunai was so OP that I didn't need to switch weapons at all. Blades were flying in all directions.I had an hour to try the odachi and yeah it takes 2 weeks to land a blow but after a single power up, it seems to kill every type of enemy with a decent amount of hits and the triangle guard break seems useful against all type of enemies, hopefully the chained blade is useful against all enemies aswell since that is usually the weapon that excite me the most, but the odachi is not bad, very useful in duels since it does like 3x times the amount of damage of the katana (seems like the damage multiplier for enemy type doesn't apply to 1vs1 duels)
It's hard to measure progress in this game because there is not really an order, you have the kunai, i don't, for example.Nice. That's awesome! We are playing in very similar ways then. My story progress is 16% at 33 hours. Funny how people were claiming this might as well have been a linear world! It's hard to measure progress in this game because there is not really an order, you have the kunai, i don't, for example.
I barely did any main story mission at all.
Yeah, outside of the first mission with the dual katana's, I can't think of a single time where the game prevents you from using whatever weapon you want. I have the odachi at level 3 and it absolutely wrecks every enemy type.I had an hour to try the odachi and yeah it takes 2 weeks to land a blow but after a single power up, it seems to kill every type of enemy with a decent amount of hits and the triangle guard break seems useful against all type of enemies, hopefully the chained blade is useful against all enemies aswell since that is usually the weapon that excite me the most, but the odachi is not bad, very useful in duels since it does like 3x times the amount of damage of the katana (seems like the damage multiplier for enemy type doesn't apply to 1vs1 duels)

The kunai, especially fully maxed throwing three at a time and with the burning charm is way too op. If you enjoy more of a challenge you probably shouldn't fully max them. It's hard to measure progress in this game because there is not really an order, you have the kunai, i don't, for example.

Agreed! I got a charm to make it throw 4 at a time. Lol. Definitely going to keep it for "if emergency, break glass" situations as it removes most of any challenge in combat, even on lethal. The kunai, especially fully maxed throwing three at a time and with the burning charm is way too op. I kinda hate the concept of limiting myself because devs can't balance the game but i guess i'm gonna avoid upgrading them to the max.The kunai, especially fully maxed throwing three at a time and with the burning charm is way too op. Uhm, no. Fuck her views, that's how I feel about it.Get over it. Her views are her views. Yours are yours. God forbid not everyone think exactly like you!
22 hours in and only using original Onryō yellow armor...

Main storyI still dont know how to upgrade this outfit
Risk and Reward type of armor set. Easy to die with.Hopefully the game doesn't become too simple now, this armour sound super op![]()
I mean i usually die trying to do perfect parries with a slight retard so it's not gonna change much, i never just block.Risk and Reward type of armor set. Easy to die with.
Parrying is way more difficult in this one than Tsushima. Sometimes I'm really near switching the parrying window to normalI mean i usually die trying to do perfect parries with a slight retard so it's not gonna change much, i never just block.

You can get absolutely get destroyed in a second or two with a 2 hit combo
The only thing I noticed was a strip across the top of the TV, perhaps 1-2 inch wide that is a lot brighter when moving the camera up and down under certain conditions when the light is shining on wet rocks which I noticed the first time while climbing up to a shrine, most of the time I can easily ignore it (especially as it really is only under certain conditions and its only a very small part of the display), it's most likely something to do with either the realtime lighting system or the ray-tracing. I'll screen shot it if I get chance to show what I meanI play on the Pro same as you with ray-tracing but in certain scenarios like climing a shrine in the early evening or when its raining. If the parry window is annoying you while playing on lethal you could switch to custom and have everything lethal apart from the parry window (or just choose the Bounty Master Armour and/or charms to increase the parry windows also, Bounty Master will remove regular parries but makes perfect parry and perfect dodge simple)I know, the parry window on lethal seems way lower than stuff like sekiro or lies of p.
The saving grace is that their movements are normal human movements, just fast, no 56 hits combo with 36 slowdowns to throw you off nor fantasy animations where they hit with strange ass moves while doing a spin in the air like the game i mentioned, so it is easy to understand their attack and it make sense when to raise the block, not sure if i'm clear.
