Also, YT seems a bigger shit show than forums like GAF, but it's interesting to see the majority of the responses to any video related to the game seem to be….. positive.

Im looking forward to all the 10/10s from websites ive never heard of in 30 years but popped up through the covid boom.
Happens on every release nowadays.
Anyway. I enjoyed the first game, it overstayed its welcome but im hoping this game has been improved over the last.

The game review system should be overhauled.
There should be a 3rd party organisation where media sites would register and publishers would be forced to send review codes a minimum of 2 days before release to that organisation that would then distribute them to reviewers.
That would allow reviewers to say exactly what they want without fear of being blacklisted and without having to grovel for codes.
There should be laws and guidelines in the gaming industry instead of publishers having total power and freedom to do whatever they want.

Odachi gameplay trailer was good. Visceral would say a 2010 journo.
Plus it looked bad as usual (maybe even more with the upped saturation), but that means there will be absolutely no graphical downgrades.

They have an excellent foundation, and they are introducing a few things/mechanics that could be super cool to experience. 85-87 seems more likely.

Hopefully not, but if it is then I'll probably wait until it is cheap on PC.
Going to be interesting to see how well the new stuff integrates into the old. Hopefully they have more interesting side content than writing poems and chasing foxes. That got old after a while for a trophy hunter.

They know it's probably going to land around an 8, so as long as they're declaring a score that is grounded in reality for use in their conspiracy theories it keeps the dream of made up oppression live and well.

Lol no downgrade because there was never any upgrade. I really think thr lack of any graphical improvement over Tsushima Directors cut is an egregious lack of effort and deserves to be rediculed by gamers but it's trendy now to "not care about graphics" so that wont happen.

I don't know about this "trendy" thing you are talking about, but personally I'd rather devs err on the side of not adding graphical effects if it degrades the overall experience like so many games have this gen. Having said that, I would have thought Sucker Punch would have been able to showcase the hardware like GG did with HFW, but so far that doesn't seem to be the case. Either way, I'll judge the graphics for myself when the game releases. They damn sure better have some boosted modes for PS5 Pro.

They said they will have a dedicated reveal with comparisons for that. Likely a blog post, if not a video. Hope they do it before the reviews as 3 weeks is still a long wait... Not that it would excite anyone who isn't excited already, but would be nice to see anyway.

Remember Dragon Age Failguard has almost the same score ( 82 ) as Tsushima
