Even the likes of Elon would prefer to ban some stuff over losing Twitter/X access to an entire country. I doubt even Elon could fund a pure free speech platform the size of X/Twitter on his own indefinitely.

Fundamental issue is that USA is unable to influence UN that much anymore. It is not early 2000s anymore.
Most (if not all) islamic countries will support Palestine, countries that hate USA will support Palestine (out of spite), countries aligned with China will support Palestine, some other countries will also support Palestine. And western countries while politically will likely support Israel, due to politics might not show open support that much because it will affect elections. polls etc. and trigger protests o muslim and far left population in the countries.

It's funny how these people are so quick to say that neutrality is taking the side of the oppressor and are so quick to denounce whatever triggers them but can't denounce something as easy as terrorism. Even during the Bush era the vast majority of people who opposed the Iraq war never defended Bin Laden. They just rightly felt that invading a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 based on something that wasn't ever true was a bad idea.

It helps that right now the western nations are much more richer and military more powerful than a lot of backwards ones in middle east. And bunch of africans countries are also a political mess too.
But by and large, world is gradually going backwards. It is the fall of the Western Roman Empire all over again.

In the genocide they even did things like tell the overseas intellectuals in countries like France that it was safe to return to their new "communist paradise" only to have them killed just after their planes landed. It's all fun and games until you go on the old holiday in Cambodia.
