There is no way back from this. This is going to be a brutal full scale war in gaza. A proper invasion. Afterwards send in the UN force so that there is no israel occupation, and to ensure no terrorist organization like hamas is allowed to fester. this needs to be a binding fucking UN resolution.

Very much appreciate the zero tolerance policy towards antisemitism on GAF. Attempting to handwave medieval barbarism as “resistance” to necessary Israeli policies that have been put in place to protect Israeli citizens (irrespective of their cultural or religious identities) is disgusting.
Israel, however imperfect, is a tolerant democracy that does everything it can to minimize civilian casualties when it conducts retaliatory strikes on targets in Gaza. Hamas literally targets anybody it can inside Israel and takes every opportunity to murder innocent civilians en mass. Bus bombs, stabbings on the light rail network, shooting up coffee shops, rockets, drones and artillery launched towards major population centres, and now parachuting into a festival with the aim of killing and kidnapping as many of the attendees as they can. The expectation that Israel should do anything but retaliate with everything it can muster is insane.
If Hamas had the capacity to kill everybody in Israel, they would I use it. If they had access to chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons, they would use them without a second thought to commit mass genocide.

It’s a long term battle in my opinion that will never come to resolution because no matter how high tech and chill the bigger man side is, it’ll never flush out all the cockroaches who do guerrila tactics unless they do it back which they won’t because it’s bad PR. But sometimes in life you can’t sit there and be a punching bag forever.
It’s like getting into fistfights at school. The best way to stop a bully is to fight back. The chill way is to go to the principals office and rag on the kid bugging you. But that doesn’t always work. In fact it probably won’t. Sometimes you got to go man to man and settle it. Worked for me. Best way to stop a bully is beat the shit out of the guy and toss him down an icy slope. Worked like a charm. Bullies are most confident when they got weaklings to deal with. The second they got to stand off against someone who will fight back they’ll avoid you if you kick the shit out of them.

And with the parking lot ambush and IDF rescue costumes it seems like Hamas fully planned on attacking this event known to them prior. They didn't just run into Israel and realize a festival was happening and take advantage on a whim. The organizers should be investigated.

Just what we taught our kids for primary and high school, be yourself, ignore haters, try to deescalate, if bullies attack repeatedly or heavy handed then sort it out yourself. I like the religious half joke here, it's easier to commit sin and ask for forgiveness later. I used the example, a kid hits you in the face or choke holds then you sort that shit out yourself right then and there. Also stand up for others that cannot or won't, I expect more from my kids in this respect, they have every opportunity in life and genetics etc, they are candidates to do better for themselves and others. A little utopian but hey you can control what you do, not others.

It's like they learned nothing from Nelson Mandela and the ANC (pre Winnie)... Target the military and the any forces who ACTUALLY hurt the people... NOT civilians! He knows nothing of history of actual freedom movements. Even the NAACP and MLK during the civil rights movement... It took time but it worked in the end. It wasn't about being peaceful... That's a beneficial side product. They put their lives on the line so that people reading and watching the news would see how they were being treated while being peaceful.
