Hearthstone |OT5| Corrupted Deeprock Salt

I'd play that card purely for fun, which I assume is what it's intended for. The fact that it just chooses a random class(and not let you discover or get your opponent's) is insane.

The other thing about the card is that it specifically says warlock cards. So if you get this in some other class, it's just going to change your hero power. That's lame. It could have said 'class cards' instead. It's more likely to see this card from spellslinger and Saraad than in a warlock deck.

I am not even sure how you make a deck around this card.

Like do you just plop this into your Zoo deck?

Maybe you play it in a Warlock deck that has some very bad match ups (like 7-3ish). Maybe you are playing Handlock against a Hunter and you think your initial hand is bad except this card so you play it on turn 2 and hope to out tempo your opponent with cheaper cards.

Edit: It says Warlock only cards so it only replaces the class specific Warlock cards in your deck/hand with another class card.

I feel like there's something here that's worth exploring. You can choose to keep powerful neutral minions and fill your deck with big drawback Warlock cards that you can replace with another class card.

The cost reduction is what can make that card so potentially powerful. Imagine you get Hunter and are now playing 2-mana Animal Companions and Kill Commands, 3-mana Houndmasters and 5-mana Highmanes. That is insane.

Or you get flares and arcane shots

Maybe there will be something else that works with it. Get random class cards, get random warlock cards, make other classes cards cheaper. Or maybe Blizard just thought it was cool and needed to give Warlock 1 more card to round out the class.

I read something about playing a very agressive deck full of Warlock cards and playing the new card when you run out of steam to hopefully get some mid/end game cards. It's very interesting and I'd love to see someone try it out.

That card could be an insane play on turn 1/2. You could practically had a 1/2 mana advantage from all the match.

The main drawback is that everything is random, and it will be hard to build a deck around that card

that rogue card seems like a slightly better loot hoarder in arena, the extra health means it can't be pinged which also makes you feel a bit better about playing it on turn 2(although you still don't want to) but an average card from another class is a bit worse in quality than an average card in your deck because you got the best of three filter when you're drafting

pretty good card since loot hoarders already pretty good but nothing super amazing,i'd say it'll probably be about on par with that warrior common but less impactful since it doesn't really fill a need like the warrior common does

I can't wait for Renolock to renounce into pyroblast and fireballs.

Well, your Neutral cards are still the same. So maybe you put in neutral cards that are just versatile.

It's an epic, but you'd only ever really be able to use one, correct? The only reason to hold two would be to increase your chances of drawing it, right?

It's not even like astral communion, that deck has a plan and you can build around it. This is the most random card in this game to date, so random you can't build a deck around it. Just put it in for your amusement.

Casino Warlock. Just put in as much RNG as possible. Queue up for wild, go to town.

Renounce Darkness is kind of like a deck with 30 unstable portals in it once you set it off.

The thought of Guldan, basically the most evil mortal in the entire Warcraft universe, deciding that he's seen the light and becoming a priest amuses me greatly.

It's a warlock class card, so it would turn into a new random 2 mana class card.

I don't think the mana costs are correlated. At least, the text does not imply that in any way. In fact, I would guess that there isn't even a card limit on what you get. You could get 3 Tyrions or 4 Highmanes or some crazy shit like that.

Well, cards that give random spells just got worse.
Replacing your hero power has Warlock sounds terrible.
Why isn't this a shaman card?

When the new Activision film and television department starts making Warcraft: Adventure Time, that will be one of the first episodes.

Why would it be a 2 mana one? It doesn't say same cost, they can be anything but will cost one less. Your second copy could turn into Tirion for 7.

Yeah I figured you could pull off crazy shit like double Tirion, but I just assumed the mana cost minus the discount would be equal to that of your warlock cards.
So if you run 2 copies of Twisting Nether those could turn into 2 Tirions and not 1 Humility and 1 Light's Justice for instance.

So with Renounce Darkness, all your neutrals stay the same. So you could technically get more discounts with Emperor as he stays in Standard. I find it absolutely hilarious though. It's something I'm going to mess with for sure.

Wonder if there are different animations for acquiring different classes. Probably not.

Does the hero power and class card have to be the same class? Like can you grt hunter cards with like priest hero power?
With the wording, "Replace your hero power and Warlock Cards with another class's," makes it sound like you get handed another hero, then all of your cards change to their class cards. If it could be any random class cards, I feel like the word random would be in the card text.

What would be interesting, but probably doesn't happen, is if you know how the cards convert. For example, your Dark Bomb turns into another 2 cost card like Frostbolt, then only costs 1. Or your Twisting Nether turns into Tirion Fording and costs 7. More than likely it's just an RNG fest of fun and whimsy.
