Do we have any idea how Explore Un'Goro works? Are the discover cards completely random and from any class?

I Wonder how the hunter legendary interacts with juraxxus
You should take 9 damage but why would you play Jaraxxus into it?I Wonder how the hunter legendary interacts with juraxxus
I know , it sucks, another crappy legendary for HunterYou should take 9 damage but why would you play Jaraxxus into it?
That card in general is not that good and easy to play around. Best case scenario you end up eating up two of their mid sized minions... worst case scenario it gets tempo removed by hard removal or a poison/adapt effect. It's also bad against big divine shield minions as essentially it gives those cards a charge effect. In addition, stuff with Deathrattle is also good against it. Even high attack low HP minions are good against it because they act like pseudo charge. The card is somewhat saved by having over the top stats but it needs to have all of those stats.
It would have to be immune to spells. That it's overstated shows that Blizzard sees Dred's text as more of a drawback than a positive.
It does make me wonder what stats a balanced generic 7 mana minion needs to be playable, because at that point hard removal creates such large tempo swings and simply ignoring it and going face is often too much of an option.

You can make a 10/10 7 mana minion and that might see play. People used to play a conditional 6 mana 9/9 but that also had dragon tribe. That it's overstated shows that Blizzard sees Dred's text as more of a drawback than a positive.

For Canadians, is the cheapest way to pre-order still by using the Android/Google Play store? I believe it's just $49.99 CDN that way, whereas it's $69.99 through PC or iOS.
That was still the case for Whispers and TGT. There was no in-game preorder option for Gadgetzan.
I'm surprised we haven't gotten any card releases/leaks since yesterday.
I believe battlecries resolve before the minion is set on board, right? That means jaraxxus wouldn't get hurt and big game hunter would kill it before it gets killed
On Play Phase - Minion is set on the board
Battlecry Phase
After Play Phase
King Dred's text says it attacks after your opponent plays a minion, which means any minion that has a battlecry will have it resolve before King Dred attacks the minion in the After Play phase. King Dred will not immediately attack the minion the moment it hits the board. So Big Game Hunter will kill King Dred without dying himself. King Dred may or may not attack Jaraxxus but if he does it would be after Jaraxxus becomes a hero.
IIRC, I think this order is true in theory, but not in practice. I remember that if Dr. Boom enters a board with one minion up and Sacred Trial active, he's actually killed and not one of the Boom Bots because his Battlecry triggers before he hits the board.
No. That is the correct order in theory and practice.
This video explains how battlecries resolve after the minion enters play:

The Dr. Boom and Sacred Trial interaction works like this.
On Play Phase - Dr. Boom enters play
Battlecry Phase - Boom Bots are Summoned
After Play Phase - Sacred Trial effect takes place.
Here is how Sacred Trial works
1. Sacred Trial checks to see if there are 4 minions in play.
2. Sacred Trial checks to see if there was a minion played (not summoned) in this sequence.
3. Sacred Trial kills the played minion.
So Sacred Trial sees 4 minions in play and it sees that Dr. Boom was the played minion that turn, and so it kills Dr. Boom.
Ah, that all makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification!

I don't think the battlecry minion is considered in play until the battlecry completes. That's why killing mad sci with a battlecry spawns a copy triggered by pulled mirror entity.

Battlecry minions are considered in play immediately, before battlecry triggers. Literally just linked to by zealousd.
Considered in play was a poor choice of words, probably better to say playing it resolved. Also, I'm on mobile and don't got no time to watch videos .
today i learned faceless manipulator counts as 2 summons
hadn't really thought about it before.
Might as well just move the entire class at that point. Can we move Cold Blood to Hall of Fame while we're at it.
Fuck I'm tired of Rogue.

Ok, so the grand tournament cards are moving to wild only format soon.
Since I pretty much just got started, i have zero grand tournament cards. Also, I might want to play a bit of wild in the future, so I'm wondering whether i should get packs for that expansion before they're no longer available, or if Blizzard will eventually set something up (dust discount, wild packs, etc) so late comers can get those for wild eventually.
I also have zero cards from old gods, so i could get those instead, but these are not leaving this year.
Ugh, i should focus on standard maybe and do crippled wild if i ever want to get into it. Standard should be the most balanced and fun.
I was dissing pure secret mage earlier, but I just realized there's a large chance the Mage quest is secret related, which could turn that entire deck arround.
If you want to prep for Wild, you should at least get the 1st wings of each of the Adventures that are rotating out. It's probably way too late to buy packs for the rotating Card Expansions unless you drop real money on it.
Zoth sucks in standard rn tho.
I'm still not convinced of devolve. The times it's great are easy to imagine but in practice I always thought my opponent's devolve was bad. Then they play the 2nd devolve and I'm fucked.
