Do they mention if Jones comes out of the closet and if he prefers to be referred as they?

Does Indiana Jones has gender dysphoria?

There's something 'off' about this game. It just looks and feels like a PS3/360 gen game, I don't know how else to describe it.

I think its the way the lighting looks in characters faces. It makes them look like plastic.

I am sure 100% is the lighting, that's my theory

I think you may be right. The last half decade or so has seen massive advancements in character rendering that has really helped close a large part of the uncanny valley. Some of these characters seem to live in it.

80-84 is the most popular choice. Same as it was for Veilguard.

I'm not saying the game will suck like Veilguard. I'm saying these aggregate scores don't mean much. Nearly everything seems to get a metacritic score within a very narrow range, and access journalists simply can't be trusted.

I'm keen to see the effects of path tracing on these weird plastic doll faces.

People going crazy too much about 1st person for this game. We already have uncharted and tomb raider for 3rd person. Remember how everyone was freaking out about metroid going 1st person and how horrible it would be.

I hope this does well, as I typically love what Machine Games does, and I loved Indiana Jones SO much as a kid. Gameplay frequently gives me Riddick vibes with it going from 1st to 3rd person. Which makes sense because a lot of the team worked on it, The Darkness as well. So, that quality is there, it's just a matter if they bring it all together and nicely. Here's to hoping!

Looks amazing. Why the fuck did ms not advertise this more? Seems like word of mouth will be great for this game, wouldn't be suprised if week 2 sales are better than week 1.

The odd "Yeah, it's all a bit bland and boring but you can beat up Nazi's.... Take that Trump! 10/10" will probably inflate it up to the high 80's

There are leaked 3 hours from SX, click at your own risk.
I watched only 1 sec but The mountain from raiders of the lost ark as a start screen is so good

The start screen alone is worth the buy. I don't even have the music on but still i heard it.
When will it come to ps5 ???

It’s clear that they wanted to go back to the award winning Riddick roots. But people are obviously using the game style as an excuse to console war until the definitive Pro version arrives in a few months.

I’m playing it on GP but then will buy it (maybe the physical CE if they do it) on the Pro. I’ve been waiting 20 years for a follow up to Riddick.

It is a difference of opinion on the game's perspective. That's all. When this releases on PS5 then that will still be the case. Not every disagreement is because of console war bullshit.

I saw the launch trailer - looks boring. Not my cup of tea; I'll pass.

Also graphics look quite poor - Wolfenstein 2 looks just as good as it's 7 years old!

I hope it does well though - Machinegames are a good developer and I'd like to see a proper sequel to Wolfenstein 2.

It is easier for people to frame criticism under the guise of console war bullshit because they can easily ignore it. It is unfortunate. This game will be fine (even though I am also of the opinion that they should have gone with third person) and who knows, perhaps the first person view might end up being the reason this game stands out among its peers (action/adventure games).

No offense to the devs, but this looks like a last-gen crossgen launchgame with modern lighting.

Animations are horrible, the flames in the tomb (or whatever it is) are really bad for a game released in the second half of this gen.

It's looking really generic.
Tbh, most modern games look like that. Blurry and somehow look worse than previous gen games while being far more taxing in hardware. It has been the case for almost every game this gen.

Although personally, I think this game looks quite good visually.

I hope that is the case. For me, the test on how well it works is if just looking around doesn't feel like a chore like it always does when playing FPS with a controller. If it works well then I very well may double dip and buy it on PS5 to do some trophy hunting.

I'm hoping for an 8+ but I'm thinking a 7-8 on this. Excited to play. Early Access can fuck off.
that’s where I’m at, if the reviews are good enough I’ll resub to GPU to try it out over Christmas and if I love the game I’ll pick it up for my PS5 Pro in a few months

Skimmed the review someone posted earlier and you can basically take out the revolver anytime and shoot enemies in melee fights.

Though it attracts more enemies to you.
Fun fact, that Indiana Jones scene was completely ad-libbed on the spot. The cast and crew of the movie got bad food poisoning in Morroco the night before. Harrison Ford feeling sick asked Spielberg if he could just shoot him instead. It was originally supposed to be a long drawn out fight scene. Funniest scene in the series

Probably my bit of favorite movie tria

Riddick is the best scored game they have ever got. Not even the super well received Wolfenstein games scored that high.

So anything close to this is a huge win.
Are you implying all of them are well received? I remember pretty clearly New Order and Old Blood were pretty well recieved, but New Colossus and Youngblood were both fucking terrible.

Hopefully most of the time you have minimal or no bullets.

It'll feel weird walking around with your revolver and over 40 rounds. #NotmyIndy
