theres no surprise youll lose weight when you cut out carbohydrates like that
If you need a broad and simple takeaway from this study, here is one: weight loss does not rely on certain carb levels or manipulation of insulin, it relies on eating less. Don’t be scared that eating carbs will cause insulin to trap fat inside your fat cells.
Gaf, what's the easiest way to lose belly fat?

I lost weight eating nothing but twinkies. It really is calories in less less than calories burned.
Great food choices though!
Working out is an ineffective way to lose weight anyway.
lol.
lol.
I lost at least 15 pounds in July.
And all it took was strep throat!
So basically you eliminated everything that tastes good.
It's not just carbs that are bad either. Japanese diets are full of starchy carbs, and yet they're some of the longest living and leanest people in the world.

Mean Girls is overrated.
Only in the US will people tell you that exercise is an ineffective method to lose weight and that you should instead be cutting more carbs.. ???
LOL I've been to Japan and tried authentic sushi,
also my girl likes miyako's I still prefer sushi from Kroger
There are tons of people who run 3 miles a day and never lose any weight because the moment they're done exercising they plow through half a carton of ice cream.
Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% exercise. Everyone agrees.

While I agree diet is key, I literally don't know anyone who would put the effort into a 3 mile run every single day that then goes on to stuff their face with junk food.

My entire biochemistry faculty would disagree with the thought that your body doesn't need any carbs at all. What a bizarre statement. Several connective tissue diseases occur because of a deficiency in carbs, and the brain absolutely needs carbs.
Low carb is great for losing weight but no-carb or long-term low-carb diet, like any unbalanced diet, can have problematic long-term consequences.
lol you'd be surprised.
<---- just got done with my workout! Wendy's is on the way home...
don't do that anymore though.
yep, yep.
also just cutting carbs isn't good. most people eat way too much of everything. you need a well balanced diet with healthy ingredients and appropriate portions.
the average american's diet is an abomination

omg people stop being pedantic. the point is you need to do both.
DO BOTH, GAF. EAT HEALTHY AND GET SWOLE, GODDAMNIT.
Ok but can we keep general health and well being into account here? I'm willing to bet the person who runs 3 miles a day and eats a Carton of Ben and Jerry's every night will have higher functioning brain, healthier organs, and be physically stronger/healthier albeit less aesthetically pleasing than someone who is losing weight by doing nothing all day and eating a low calorie, low carb diet. If the only thing that matters to you is weight loss, I hear purging what you eat or abusing laxatives are very effective, arguably more effective than exercise? I don't know how we've come to this..
Sushi from Kroger?
*vomit*
I have been in a more strict diet and I work out for an hour a day. I lost plenty of weight, but the fat I lost is basically from parts of my body that I am not really concerned about. My belly is not budging at all. I have lost an inch around my waist. Can anyone give me any tips to tackle that?
Eh, what's wrong with Kroger deli? Publix does the same thing though they're regional. It's the same seafood they keep in their meat/produce department. They have to keep it pretty fresh.
Mall sushi on the other hand ... yeah, that's gross.

lol what? It's very common and not surprising for some people to think that after a good workout they deserve a "little" reward. While I agree diet is key, I literally don't know anyone who would put the effort into a 3 mile run every single day that then goes on to stuff their face with junk food.
After a month your like meh to that stuff. I honestly didn't know how addicted I was to that stuff until I wasn't anymoreSo basically you eliminated everything that tastes good.
Then your biochemistry department is full of fucking idiots. Dietary carbs are not a necessary nutrient - it's in the RDA handbook. If you're not ingesting dietary carbs, your body can easily create enough carbs through gluconeogenesis.
Whether low-carb/ketogenic are optimal is another story, but many diabetics do especially well on them.
I went without carbs for a week. Never again. My farts were weapon grade.

I've been losing weight steadily the past couple months. I've hit a plateau. Having difficulties finding food that are filling, but not too heavy on calories. I find myself getting hungry in the middle of the afternoon so when I get home from work I tend to overeat
