I am traveling to Super Nintendo World, but I see the reports about a potential Vita 2, and I would definitely scope down those expectations. I've only ever heard about a cloud-streaming handheld.

Japan might be interested. Who knows. Maybe they are feeling like taking Nintendo again.vita 2 wouldnt make sense because sony clearly cant even support the psvr2. there just arent enough studios to go around. nintendo had to ditch the console business or the handheld business (whatever floats your boat) to focus on one hardware for their first party devs. sony can only do that if they somehow make the vita 2 a 10 tflops monster, and that is simply going to be impossible.
cloud gaming is their only hope and no one wants to play games on a cloud.
Even in places where there is good Infrastructure cloud gaming isn't a great experience. I'll give Sony the benefit of the doubt and wait for an actual reveal and specs but cloud only handheld is not the way (yet)Fuck that, what a waste of resources.
The Internet infrastructure is nowhere near ready for cloud garbage for most people.
GimmeIf there was a handheld which could play PS4 games natively and stream PS5/PS3/whatever, that would be quite a device. I'd get it for sure.
I'm thinking the same thing. Let the main system be the hub for cloud access and main storage. Transfer games freely between the two or stream right from the console if availableIf there was a handheld which could play PS4 games natively and stream PS5/PS3/whatever, that would be quite a device. I'd get it for sure.
An ArmbrellaIf it is made of clouds how would you hold it?
An Armbrella
OMG you love xCloud now?OMG we hatexCloud again.
That's not how cloud gaming works my man. There HAS to be a download option for a cloud device otherwise it won't work, hopefully Grubb only heard a part of the truth.
In saying that, it is Grubb, he isn't exactly reliable on anything but certain specific things like shows.
Nope, a cloud gaming device is a device that allows you to stream or download the game and save data via the cloud. That's not how cloud gaming works my man.
Maybe they could make it play scaled down versions of ps5 games. Or play ps4 games natively and then stream ps5 games.vita 2 wouldnt make sense because sony clearly cant even support the psvr2. there just arent enough studios to go around. nintendo had to ditch the console business or the handheld business (whatever floats your boat) to focus on one hardware for their first party devs. sony can only do that if they somehow make the vita 2 a 10 tflops monster, and that is simply going to be impossible.
