I really dont like this guy and I like xbox. This guy probably does more damage to the brand than the lady that spoke what seems like common sense could ever do.

They're in partnership with AMD to make some APUs with some customizations of RDNA & UDNA technology. But for all we know, MS will have OEMs build and distribute the actual hardware devices.

Which would still make her correct (and line up with the Gestridens leak, which has been 100% accurate for everything else). MS's recent hardware announcements also suggest that's how they'll approach the next Xbox systems: 3P OEMs make the hardware, the hardware uses APUs customized by Microsoft & developed in partnership with AMD.

She'll probably be correct in the end, because that's what the Gestridens leak also mentioned: offloading actual hardware production to OEMs.

But at least MS are producing custom APUs for those devices in partnership with AMD. Something I wasn't sure they'd commit to earlier, but would be a requirement to make the initiative have any chance of real success.

It'd be a console hardware-wise, but the business model will not be like that of a traditional console.

What's more, it still doesn't mean Microsoft themselves will directly manufacture the hardware and sell it. They seem intent on leaving that to OEMs like Asus, going forward.

Jez seems oddly more pissed at how Xbox is transforming their traditional way of doing business more than Xbox themselves. Laura at least earned the right to be pissed off at the direction things are going and guess what? That mirrors a shit ton of fan's feelings as well.
 
A lot of us were wrong about MS not porting software to PS. I just want management to cha... ah fuck I'll just say it I'm a believer and I want Christians in charge at Xbox.

I think its kind of funny shitting on one of the leaders from the only successful time of Xbox. Xbox One and Series are a fucking disaster.

Is Jez Corden that bad? Laura Fryer, in her most recent xbox video looks like she was forced to shower with clorox and use chalk as makeup.

As a father figure, I adopted Madeleine L'engle's adage, wash vulnerable, hurt people with warm, clear water. No abrasives. Trying to show compassion to the protesters. I try not to engage in factions.
 
Microsoft might keep making hardware of some kind, but it's going to be less of a priority, or more like the Surface line with Windows. You don't need a Surface device to use Windows, but it's their brand of hardware to help sell the ecosystem.

Fanboys raging over it seems silly, because Microsoft should've have just merged the two platforms back in the Windows 8 days like I thought they were going to do. Just tailor the UI for the form factor, and give consumers more flexibility.

To think this all started with "4 games" and anyone with a modicum of IQ knew the writing was on the wall back then.

"Halo isn't coming. Gears isnt coming. Forza isnt coming. Indiana Jones isnt coming. It's just 4 games"

The spin and denial was immense. Then one of those games developers got shut down..even more bad news.

Now 3 of them are here and the rumors are heavy for Halo to appear on PlayStation.

We can speak on whether it's MCC or Halo Infinite, or the fact that it's currently only Gears 1.

But the appearance of both Marcus and Master Chief, synonymous with Xbox potentially both on a Sony console(and probably Switch, let's be real) is fairly large in the message it sends for what Microsoft plans to do.


I do like Xbox and have owned their consoles up through the Xbox 360, but they lost me back in 2013 with their initial reveal and I haven't trusted them since.

There are good people at xbox! I know that's true of any organization or business, but I know without knowing that they are sitting on something successful.

I went to the UK last summer and I was shocked to see them serving beans with breakfast it looked gross as fuck. On the flight back home though my stomach was hurting from the minute I woke up so I didn't eat anything. They served breakfast on the plane and at this point I was really hungry. Once again there was the baked beans in the meal. I ate everything but the beans and was like fuck it I'm still hungry. They were surprisingly good honestly.
