This system is a snake in the fuckin grass.
Snake in the grass I tell you.
The disc edges are like fucking butter smooth. What is this?
And the system eats these things without you even pushing a slightest of a 1/100 of an inch of your muscles!
I am so blown away right now and I apologize for the gushing bullshit.

Got my own place. Live solo. Itll be glorious.
Good to know that the Nintendo Hardware Seal of Quality is still in place =3
now can you give us some impressions on NintendoLand ? =D
Well I bit the bullet and went ahead and picked up the Nintendoland Deluxe on my break along with The Wonderful 101. Kamiya's lovechild and Mario 3D World sent me over the edge, plus I havent seen many deals (Black Friday or otherwise) so I said fuck it.
Before anyone asks, I didn't pick up the Mario/Luigi U bundle because I didn't want a Mario overdose before next Friday. Plus, I look forward to getting used to the gamepad via Nintendoland (which you all said was pretty cool anyway).
I already have a wiimote+, chuk and original pro controller at home. But I do have a couple of questions before I dive in:
- Should I expect a 45 minute - 60 minute update as soon as I turn it on?
- Is there a noticeable visual difference with OG Wii games since they're running through an HDMI? I have a decent library of great titles that'd I'd love to see cleaned up a bit (Twilight Princess comes to mind)
- How does transferring my Wii VC games to the Wii U work? How does that $1.50 charge occur? I have Super Metroid and Super Castlevania 4 on my Wii. Will the U know that I purchased them already or something? I'm guessing I'm not going to be able to transfer over titles like Chrono, DKC or FFIII?
It's certainly possible with a majority of games. I think ZombiU and Nintendoland are the only ones that really require both screens. Can anyone advise on playing solely on the gamepad?
I don't have a TV right now, though I do have a PC monitor that I could hook up to the system - but really, the 'handheld' experience seems really appealing to me, playing in bed, etc.
How feasible is it to play the Wii U almost exclusively on the gamepad (I'll be getting a new TV in a few months) and what games work best for that style of play?
I tried Wonderful 101 at the store the other day, and while the action was a bit cramped on the gamepad, I think I could get used to it.
Do some games have features that I won't be able to access if I play only on the gamepad?
I'm specifically curious about Wind Waker, NSMBU, SM3DW, Wonderful 101, Batman, and Pikmin 3.
All those games can be played on the Gamepad alone. Can anyone advise on playing solely on the gamepad?

And can I play it on the gamepad straight out of the box or do I need to connect it to a TV for the first boot/updates?

I figure I might as well ask in here.....I just got Pikmin 3, what is the best controller to use for the game?
The pointer's sensitivity feels like it was made for the Wii Remote + Nunchuck setup. It's my preferred way to play. The gamepad's perfectly acceptable though and I have no issues using it if I go off-tv.
Guess I shoulda checked Craigslist before I bought mine new! That deal is pretty ridiculous.Stop creepin'!![]()

I'm pretty sure shit is warm.that controller looks cool as shit

This is probably the biggest Wii U push I've seen since it's reveal at E3I am totally blown away with this system.
Anyone else feel that the Wii U feels more like a true successor to the Gamecube than the Wii? Playing Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, ZombiU and Toki Tori 1/2 feel more like games I would play on a successor to the GCN than the Wii.

I'm only poking funWhat? This thread? Im just being honest man. I never once gave this system the time of day last year (obviously).
This is just simply incredible. To me =D
It's like I just unwrapped my first NES all over again.

I feel the same. It's like I just unwrapped my first NES all over again.
Wii games look very noticeable better running through HDMI.
Ani you're the last person I expected to see in here. Prob just me. Its your avatar. It always looks pissed.
They look the same to me.seriously? i have about six wii games unopened i've been meaning to get to. i'll probably get around to playing them sometime next year.

I love threads like these.
It's amazing that the people who constantly crap on Wii U have never actually messed with one.
