All of them. You can use ANY controller. In any combo. Aside from the balance board, of course

Was trying to wait until Mario Kart, but I just caved and bought a Wii U Deluxe + Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Windwaker, Sonic Racing Transformed and 3D World while at Toysrus. They had no idea what 3D world was even though they had a sign that said pick up your 3D World reservations today... When I asked for the deluxe Wii u model they didn't know what I was talking about either. Took about 20 minutes to get everything. I would have went somewhere else to begin with, but it was a pretty spontaneous purchase. Just glad I have a Wii U now!
Nice man welcome to the club. You should check out ZombiU(demo on eShop) and Lego City also both great and must have games imo.

i think its the semi-trolling thread title that made this thread a success (i mean it started as a "I bought a wiiu" thread)
that said. it looks like there are some partial sell outs. probably due to general low stocks of retailers but still.

I'm sure you can get a Gamecube controller to work if you're dedicated enough to make the Wii U recognise one (yes, there are ways).

As did I (them shoulder buttons... <3), but to see people so desperately clinging onto it via GCN controller adapters for their Wii U's... it's just saddening. Move on.

If you want to use a gamecube controller so badly, you can get devices that make the Wii U recognise it as a classic controller.

Skylanders Wii version and disney infinite sit at No. 2 and 3 respectively on Amazon.com. WiiU versions seem to do pretty well too.

Same. It's one of my least favourite controllers of all time. Those triggers were torture devices.

it was the most ergonomic at its time. obviously other controllers have since focused a lot more on being ergonomic (because frankly thats the way to go).
Well I used parental controls so at least I stop seeing messages from other players, and I hit the gamepad button to switch screens so at least I quickly stop hearing the nightmarish vocalizations from Miis.
I am NOT a fan and wish it was basically a static screen, even if it doesn't affect the load time.Horseticuffs

Hey new Wii U owners, welcome to the plaza! Hey, on the topic of RE: Revelations I am currently two-timing SMB3DW with RE:R on my 3DSXL and it really is an amazing game. Graphically and gameplay-wise it's top notch.
And let me tell you, Raid mode is addicting as hell and that's even playing solo on 3DS because nobody is ever playing. It is so much fun grinding levels and getting random loot drops!

So my dad, who is amazing, out of the blue bought me a WiiU today from Best Buy (the New Super Mario/Luigi bundle). He lives a state away so he emailed me the receipt email and I went in and picked it up. I also picked up Mario 3D world and plan on buying Zombieau and Lego City Undercover eventually.
Anyway I'm sitting here while the thing updates, no thoughts on the system yet, but I'm looking forward to playing arroud with it.

I live in Mexico, and there was no other bundle. I had to pay around 400 bucks for it(which is cheap as hell over here)

Get Pikmin 3 and more importantlz W101 too. Also if you like Monster Hunter Tri ultimate (its a bit of time sinker but if you like those loot type of games, its one of the best)
Amazon does not sell Wii U consoles. Those are 3rd party marketplace vendors.

I disagree. Most ergonomic, best button lay-out. And the Wavebird was top notch.
The only screw up was, the D-pad, too small. Not sure if the C-stick was analog and maybe a second "z" button on the other side would have been nice, but by far my most favorite controller.
Thought Amazon didn't sell Wii U's. Ones listed are from third party sellers?

Day two of Wii U ownership, just enjoying the stuff on the store and remote play. So good. All that debate before about gamepad resolution is moot. It's good enough.

If you scroll down a bit there's a section called Games by Category. In that section you'll find a sub-section for Demos. In North America it features a picture of Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed.
