Welcome every new member, it is an exciting console with so much potential:
Everyone focuses so much on graphics, I guess they are important but I look forward to the gamepad uses like:
-more asymmetric gameplay
-RTS/Simulation/Manager games
-tactical use of the gamepad in a MP FPS, similar to what Ghost Recon Online showed
-some use of the gamepad none saw it coming
Not much time to play

.
Still playing to finish SM3DW, LoZ WW HD, Zombi U and some games I want to 100% like AC 3 and Lego City. Black Ops 2 is my go to game for MP next to CSGO on PC. MP FPS is a missed opportunity on the Wii U, I would love for someone to take a risk for a simple but fun, well implemented FPS, could be free to play or $15 for simple MP. Would love a CS type of game and a fast paced arena shooter.
I have a lot of games on my to-get list:
W101/Pikmin3, not sure which one first
NFSMWU/Batman AC physical copies are very cheap, would love some e-shop sales
Deus Ex HR
Rayman Legends
AC 4
Splinter Cell
Some nice highlights since I joined at launch:
-Off TV play: I know it has been said multiple times, it is great although not all games are worth playing in Off TV. I would suggest NSMBU/NSLU, CoD BOs 2, Trine 2 and AC3. Because of this feature I could play more quick rounds of CoD BOs 2 and finish sooner games that would take longer for me. Like I said the gamepad is not for every game as playing SM3DW on the gamepad does not do the game justice, I would check this feature on a game by game basis.
-Lego City Undercover: I played Lego games before, but this one had an original story and characters coupled with a well written and funny dialogue. It is very long and the game is packed with content, so much hours of pure fun.
-AC3 without HUD on the TV: very simple thing but it really helps with how the game looks and for immersion.
-LoZ WW HD: a lot of screens in the Screenshots thread show how pretty the game is, playing it yourself feels even better
-SM3DW: amazing graphics, tight gameplay, so much little details, the music. The complete package.
