The God of High School - Part 5 ending
So the author speaks about the problem he has had with this part and I mostly aree, the story was nice until it devolved into full action for weeks. Too cramped but too light at the same time. Plus the twist in the end of the part was surprising (which is good) but couldnt be guessed at any point (which is bad as it is just a bullshit way of doing them).
The set up for the new season looks interesting but I do not know what they are going to do with a character so OP if they literally are saying older characters are becoming weaker :/

What twist? Did I miss something lol? Yeah most people who read it thought it went super saiyan too quickly. Planet sized gods and ocean cleaving kicks were a tad exaggerated.
Such a tragedy.
Although it's not the same exact thing, you can try Tsugumomo if you want a good mix of smut and action.

The twist in God of High School isn't really out of nowhere.
was always painted as a dubious character with questionable motives that uses people to his benefit. I believe it was always hinted that he held a grudge towards Taejin for losing too. Considering that Ragnarok was never labelled as the final arc anyway, you know end-game boss would eventually be him. I was fully expecting him to act within the Ragnarok arc itself but instead we're going to get one more drawn-out arc to close out the series.
And on the Ragnarok arc itself: while I do understand there is a bit of "quirikiness" to the author's design philosophies, some of the character designs of the major gods were atrocious.

Man, I love it when things get serious and the art's style and quality gets crazy good. Vermillio's pledge to Helck to not give up on humanity was great, and Azdra's death being brushed off in the way it did was actually a nice way to add a speck of light-heartedness to an otherwise despair-inducing chain of events.
...And now I'm hoping I'll be able to find some Piwi merch the next time I go to Japan. I think the constant screaming is what has warmed me up on him/her/it more than any other mascot characters I've seen as of late.

Well that was a fun ride, from a really strong first arc with a kinda traditional story to later on throwing a curveball with a more "slice of life" / comedic approach to then add a motherfucking world war with a bittersweet end. And when you think it is over? lol nope here is a return of the first arc.
The use of flashbacks is really nice and helps with some of the themes of the manga, and the evolution of the different characters is nice (though it kinda feels very shounen with the things around one of the main characters). The artstyle is pretty good, fitting the tone of the scene (creepy, scary, pure motherfucking awesome, simple, all depending of the scene) .
And now to play the waiting game :/ I really should learn japanese.

Pretty run of the mill japanese guy enters gets thrown into another dimension where he is op. He then proceeds to make an harem. The art style is clean and has some interesting relations between characters, they dont feel as forced as many of the others.
What the hell is with japan and making those mangas? I know most of them are adaptations from Light novels but how did they start flooding the market?

A familiar demon vs humans fantasy scenario, where the demon king has a genius strategy for conquering the world - kidnap humanity's best and brightest, and then force them to plan his war strategies using their insider knowledge. Unfortunately for everyone involved, he abducts the secretary to the king of an advanced nation, who's pragmatic to the point of ridiculousness and - judging from her initial actions and the joyful reaction of the king when he realises she's gone - an absolute nightmare to deal with. I'm getting strong Maou-jou de Oyasumi vibes from basically every element of this, which is high praise by itself, and combined with the promising humour and entertaining female lead it's a no-brainer to follow.

I was afraid they were going with a romantic route with the dude the MC has a crush on, but it looks like he's just a friendly (??) dude and also kinda of a dick, which it's much more fitting for the "realistic" tone the manga has.
It still a bit too melodramatic at times, the author's incredibly "flowery" style probably doesn't help.
I wonder how long until this get canned. Surely something like this can't sell much? Then again, maybe the author's name will carry it, she wrote some hits, iirc.

The art of this can be a bit messy at times and with so much black on the page it can be hard to tell who the various supporting characters are. I also don't care much for Hinata as the protagonist I find him really annoying and his gimmick of getting sick before a match has gotten old.

Also I think it was a case of bad early scans since near the late teens the chapters are a lot cleaner.

I think Hinata will grow on you (or at least hope. I'd say Hinata is my favorite jump protagonist right now). The getting sick before matches will never get as bad as it is at this point (I think this is the first practice match), and it becomes very self aware when it comes to Hinata's pre match anxieties, with him
always running into "scary" people at the bathroom before a match.

Yeah viz's handling of the series in terms of whats on the free section is too wonky for me to follow and they're stupid and not adding it to the magazine so *shrugs*
That doesn't surprise me (this is jump after all) but I find it interesting early on the "rival" character has developed more thanks to Hinata then Hinata himself.
