I don't know why, I am put off by Toriko's art and not for the Baki series. There's one thing I learn when picking up extremely long-running manga is I have to exercise restrain because I have no motivation to finish most of these manga.

As for Boku no Hero Academia, I'm think once it received an anime adaptation it would pull ahead in sales. Maybe not Nanatsu's level but I reckon it should be close to it.

I remember following Nanatsu sales for its earlier volumes and while it was steadily increasing ( before the anime was aired ), it never quite hit the numbers My Hero Academia is hitting now.

Chuugoku Yome Nikki's and Dungeon Meshi's numbers are pretty good.

If you stopped at the chinese martial artist, you still have the karate master's son and baki's brother (Jack) going up against Pickle. both fights were entertaining, but the Jack vs pickle fight even more.

scratch that. if you only read up to the jack vs pickle fight, you get to the highest point of the prehistoric arc. i would say you can even skip the karate vs pickle fight.
