You can't be serious. I was trying to be open-minded and give this game a chance, but they literally refused to send out review codes, officially to avoid spoilers. I think everyone with half a brain can figure out what's the real reason.
That is my thought as well. I will play it when I get home.
I never said "I liked it", I havent played it yet.
I'm interested in the story though. I like a good scifi romp. And a third person shooter? Shit we need more of those in the singleplayer space.
Not sending out review copies means absolutely nothing these days.
The Switch 2 also didn't send out any review units, why do you think that is? (games journalism is shit)
Dude, these aren't wild conspiracy theories, they're the bare minimum things people pay attention to in an industry that lies constantly
Yeah let's hold these devs to the lies that other devs have made, while this is the devs first game. If you want to see what the game is about, there is hours of gameplay to see for all.
So what fucking red flags are we seriously even talking about here?
Tell me about these red flags
Fucking lmao
Judging by the material I've seen so far, everything just feels outdated - the animations, ragdoll physics, driving mechanics, sounds, gameplay and gunplay.
The game world -from the looks- feels shallow and empty - it all seems pretty unfitting for a current-gen title that, at its core, looks like a seventh-generation console game with higher resolution.
As I understand it, it's supposed to be a puzzle piece in the larger Everywhere universe - but we don't know anything about that either. It just feels like a pipe dream to me.
And then starting off with a game that gives the impression the publisher doesn't even want players to really get their hands on it… it's just sketchy.
The only thing I've thought looked cool since the first trailers are the explosions - they actually look really nice - but is that enough?
Thanks for at least writing up a serious post about why you feel the game looks mediocre.
The game world is just an simple backdrop, for the missions and story that play out. Like LA Noire. That game has almost nothing to do in the open world. That doesnt make LA Noire a bad game though?
The everywhere stuff doesn't really interest me. If the game came out of a failed project, then I don't mind, as long as the game is fun to play.
Oh, and you're not defending the game, you're defending your ego for being hyped too early
Lol, I wasn't really ever that hyped for the game at all. I thought it looks cool.
I think the hate is absolutely unwarranted considering the amount of GAAS infested MTX shithole games we get these days.
We all ask "Where are the fun AA games?" but when one comes out, it has to have the graphics and gameplay of GTA V, and the polish of a Nintendo game according to some posters.
