don't know for anyone else but if there is a system seller, this game is it, I can't wait to arrive in that world, the 30 second trailer fills me with happiness, I hope the game overall delivers.

Player 1 - Player 3 do not imply online co-op. It's set up just like Xenoblade where you can see your party member's HP. At this point in time they've merely chosen not to name them.

I take it you didn't play Xenoblade, that song is from Bionis Leg, and the arts bar is lifted straight from Xenoblade, just with square icons instead of circles.

Tomorrow it's the 15th year anniversary of Xenogears release in Japan. Aww.
The game has not aged well, but it still one of my favorite experiences in gaming.

I'm playing through Xenogears atm, I got to like the end of disk 1 a couple of years ago my first time playing it but forgot everything so I started over. It did take a bit of getting used to the controls, though PSP/Vita and mapping dpad to analog is nice, and L/R to right analog for even better.

The jumping mechanic is weak but I really like just about everything about the game. Gear battles are so good, they are the anti-grind, you can make the human battles as easy as you want with endless grinding, but gear battles will always require some strategy since you are limited by parts. Few JRPGs these days can still provide a challenge when you grind.

I know start of disk 2 is supposed to be kind of weak but at least I'm prepared for it. Hope robot stuff in Wii U game is closer to Gears in Xenogears than say Xenosaga, where they just make shit easy.

They seriously need to reupload that without that annoying sound effect. Other than that it doesn't really seem to be anything new related to the game.
Knowing when this comes out will help me figure out when I need to finally take the plunge and buy a WiiU.

This is pretty basic stuff, they didn't cover anything new whatsoever. Really late to the party with that video lol. And that sound effect is really annoying.

I'm currently playing Xenogears on my PSP, too. Got stuck yesterday on Calamity.. I don't remember Xenogears being this hard, but I guess I suck now at jrpgs compared to when I was a teenager.

Just started my first playthrough of Xenogears. Calamity was tough, but I was able to take him out on my first try. Haven't really had much trouble with battles up to this point, even though it took me a while to figure out the mechanics of the Gear battles. With that being said, I really hope Mono gives us more versatility with the mech battles in X. More action-oriented stuff would be great, and it looks like the game is heading down that direction anyway.

For the people that didn't know, on Soraya Saga's twitter she retweeted the E3 Direct post from NoJ, so yeah this pretty much confirms a new X trailer in the direct which isn't surprising.

And best buy lists "Xenoblade" for Wii U for preorder.

Man, I hope this game is half as incredible as Xenoblade. I bought it on a whim (since I wanted to support Operation Rainfall), and it absolutely blew my mind. I think I played it for two months.

Hopefully developing for an HD console doesn't hinder the game.

Im not basing this off that though Im basing this on other Nintendo 1st party box arts we have seen for Wii U. They all are great.

Bestbuy (and other retailers) added it at the same time as stuff like Yoshi Yarn, Zelda, Super Mario, etc that was announced in the January ND. It's almost certainly a placeholder title for the new game.

Now I have to buy a Wii U. Fuck. I just got into Dark Souls and the little of monster hunter I've played I enjoyed. This is giving me a little bit of a Phantasy Star vibe too but maybe it's just the music or POV.

I never thought I'd be getting a Wii U. Hopefully they do a good bundle this Xmas.

Man this game is looking so freaking amazing. There are just two things that would make it a serious runner-up for potential Game of the Generation for me:

1. Batshit crazy high-concept story like Xenogears/Xenosaga
2. Have Mitsuda at least be a guest arranger for main theme or something.

Xenoblade Chronicles sounds pretty similar to Elder Scrolls. i wonder if the next iteration will have XC return as the series name and have a single-worded name for the actual title. Oblivion. Skyrim. etc
