PS5 has been my favorite console since PS2, I haven't gamed this much in years. And they keep releasing absolute bangers early on in its life cycle, rejoice, brethren, we're in a new golden age, one where Queen Marika has yet to forsake us and take away our grace.

Different studio and engine so there's hope there. I agree that HFW 60FPS mode was definitely weird.

There was shimmering on Aloy's hair as well... I wonder if a 120hz 40fps is possible at 4k..

They certainly could learn a few things from Insomniac. The 60FPS RT Performance mode was insanely good in Ratchet.

For me, PlayStation 5 is my secondary full/timed exclusives only console while PlayStation 4 was my primary gaming console last generation and through 18 months, I would choose PlayStation 5 because while a few games are cross-gen, I played them all on PlayStation 5 so being cross-gen doesn't matter and for me, the cross-gen games for PS5 are better than the full PS4 only games.
PlayStation 4 for me was Knack (6.5/10), Infamous First Light (7.0/10) and The Order 1886 (7.0/10) and I could have passed on the first two games and nothing of value would have been lost. PlayStation 5 for me was Spider Man: Miles Morales (9.0/10), Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (9.0/10) and Horizon Forbidden West (9.0/10) which were all excellent games and even if I only go based on PS5 only games, Rift Apart still gives PS5 the win because it's better than those three PS4 games I completed. Hell, Kena: Bridge of Spirits (8.5/10) is better than those three PS4 games I completed. lol
So yeah, for me, I definitely agree with Ryan.

Another important aspect worth highlighting is that the PS4 was mainly a 30fps machine; with PS5 we have the option to choose betwen 30, 60, and even 120fps
Heck Ratchet even added an amazing 40fps mode.
I hope games continue to offer 60fps
If 4K 30FPS is an option I don't see why a 60FPS mode can't also be one.
