I get the impression that Blatt doesn't communicate well.

ops, look like im kinda outdated myself, warriors wanted him out for brent berry, but brent didnt take the job and the dubs fan were upset so they decided to keep Jim.

That was two years ago. FO ended up reversing that decision because the fanbase wasn't happy with the decision....I didn't know Brent was the potential replacement though.

You all should really have had Greg Papa this whole time.

Tell me about it. It's why no one really likes Fitz doing play by play. Greg Papa was so much better at it.

That rant was epic...

"All the chips are on the table now. Otherwise you're flying back to Oakland Monday. To be exterminated for the year"

I just listened to that rand again...with all the context now...shiet, it's even more brutal.

anyone else think it's weird that Magic and Larry are touching butts?

Hell yeah! No one else had the passion and knowledge that he brought. He's the only commentator in any sport who I would watch a game just because he was calling it. Awesome guy.

"And when you look at Boris Diaw and what he’s done to this franchise he’s changed everything. We celebrate his brilliance and when you talk to Boris Diaw you realize what a classical human being he is. It was 201 years ago today, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in E Flat, which escorted in the age of Romanticism in music. And when I think of Boris Diaw, I think of Beethoven and the age of the Romantics. This guy has it all"

Russ seems like the type of player that's not here to give any of his competition credit. He said roughly the same, without the laugh, about Kwai the round before. That's just what it is. If you ask him who plays the best defense on him I don't doubt he'll go with a Kobe answer, picking someone relatively irrelevant.

Charles is funny, I haven't seen him get caught up emotionally like this ever. It wasn't even a thought after the OKC series, he picked the Cavs definitively. He's been picking against GSW in just about every series he could for the last 2 years. I think at one point the "monsters" Gasol and Zbo were suppose to take them out.

Anyway, time to get a quick workout in before the game.

It's pretty clear that Wilbon just parrots whatever Barkley thinks about basketball. And Barkley doesn't know much about basketball.

Hakeem really did not get a ton of airtime and back then it was hard to catch anyone other then the local team. But I was a nerd and watched sportscaster everyday and checked the boxscores and Hakeem could put up some of the most ridiculous boxscores. I really have never seen a successful team that leaned so heavily on a single player (not even Lebron). Hakeem was their team's entire offense and defense. Not in stretches, for the whole fucking game. When he used to get in foul trouble in the playoffs the other team would go on like a 18-0 run over the next 5 minutes.

And no one in the NBA, including Lebron can guard 1-5. Lebron can definitely guard any 2-3 and he can handle most 4s, but if it is a truly elite post player he would be destroyed like any other small player in the post. We don't have more than 3 or 4 of those players in the league (if that) so you can definitely keep him on most bigs today who just spot up for jumper and dunks. And he cannot guard an elite PG who knows how to use screens. Parker undressed him and everyone else on the Heat in game 1 of the Finals. He didn't do much after he got hurt, but no one on the Heat, including Lebron, could stop him.
Which Finals are you talking about? Because he was terrible in 2013 with Lebron on him. Shot below 44% 5/7 games and even some low 20s stinkers. He was better in 2014 but I wouldn't say he undressed anybody.

He injured himself after game 1, in game 1 he undressed everyone on the heat.

Speaking of getting undressed...

Those uniforms leave nothing to the imagination.

Shameless NBA was using sex and the taboo (at the time) of interracial relationships to sell its product in the 80s.

If only Magic learned to say "no."

I lost confidence in the Cavs just like Lebron lost confidence in his jumpshot.

Is Space Jam 2 gonna have that KD film Thunderstruck like plot-line?

Westbrook isn't really the type of player to direspect another player unless they deserve it like Charlie Villanueva. I can't think of anyone else he has disrespected.

Russ doesn't really care for the media and he hasn't made it a secret either. Let's not forget this is the guy that said "y'all niggas trippin" in response to a reporters question. I believe his laugh was more about why the question was being asked (because Steph had 2 steals) and less about disrespecting Steph.

DominoKid had a point yesterday that everything this team is falls on bron bron since he pretty much went LeGM LeEmperor on the front Office.

It is kinda sad because on one hand your impressed that he flexed on the FO the way he did but at the same time these pieces of whatever puzzle he thought would work look like shit right now.

Well see, I feel for the long time Cavs fans right now on some "bridesmaid never the bride" shit.

Interesting I would say, from an evolution of the power dynamics of the game, not sure about "impressive" though.

It seems more like it is poised to be a cautionary tale of bending to a star player's will like this.

I think Kobe - like he has been most of his career - went about leveraging his power in a much wiser manner. He at least was aware he is not qualified to be a GM, but he did know that he needed more help to succeed in a tough West. So he pressured the organization to get him help and they got Pau Gasol.

Lebron wants to jump in and almost micromanage when he feels compelled(through his sometimes questionable leveraging techniques) and then completely decouple himself mentally from any responsibility afterwards.

Hail to the KING baby
It's a quote from Jean-Paul Sartre. I think the Cavs are just kind of trying to say that even though the Dubs are riding high, they should maybe check themselves a little bit. Makes you think and it's cool they went with a Sartre quote -- you don't see that in sports a lot outside of the Jaguars that one year.

Expect JR Smith to have a big game tonight, he's fighting for a job next season. That and the boost of Kevin Love not playing makes this the hardest game of the series for the Warriors.

Hope it's a good one, at least one of these games need to be close, right?

Man, Chuck is hilarious. It doesn't matter what you say - he will find a way to spin it. It's such naturally veiled haterade.
