Dell's life as the Curry stopper was short lived. Curry was dancing on him by the end of it.

I want to see a fully healthy, playoff Heat squad take on this Warrior team. Especially with how Steph and Klay are playing mediocre. Wade was looking better than he has in years and Bosh would've got his on Draymond I think. Whiteside to protect the rim and clean the glass. And a lengthy bench to actually compete with the Warrior's.

Heat would get destroyed

LeBron is more versatile of a defender (due to size). That's about the only thing he's got a leg-up on.

Offensively...it's not even close because LeBron's jumper is broken as fuck. How are people saying LeBron is the best two way player of all time?

If we look at players at their peak, LeBron definitely had a decent jumper and couldn't be stopped inside. Jordan himself has said this.

Also you can't overstate versatility. Being able pull minutes on Derrick Rose and then the teams center is insane. Magic, the best PG of all time couldn't really guard PGs. Certainly none from today's era. Lebron could.

Who's the best three way player of all time?

Depends on what the third way is. I mean...

Richard Jefferson will concuss Love at the start of Game 4 if they win Game 3 without Love. Just like he did Rondo last year in Dallas.

Because when people say "he can guard 1-5" they have this idea in their head that it means something. He's not playing against Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq, Robinson, etc. He wasn't guarding Dirk in 2011, he wasn't guarding Duncan or Parker in 2007 when he got swept either.

They let him post up on Draymond in game 2 and he got bitchslapped.

They have to do something to slow the pace bc they can't run with the Warriors. Post ups and offensive boards would be the first choice, along with LeBron going hard to the basket.

Guess it doesn't matter bc Love has been ruled out anyway, but you don't just abandon a tactic because it didn't work in a small sample size. I think Shaq said it best, Love needs to take the L and use it as motivation to win that matchup in the paint.

That's basketball: take the hit, stand your ground, and hit back. The Cavs in general are doing a poor job of that. Every time GSW goes on a run, they look shook and the wheels come off. That's where good coaching and leadership is supposed to come into play.

Shawn Kemp

No one stuffed the stats like the Dream. At least not since I have been watching. He had a fucking quadruple double...

Did he? I remember Clyde Drexler did on those Rockets teams.

Exactly. I never got this argument. Did LeBron go toe-to-toe with Dwight or something?

Clyde was one assist away from a quadruple double when he was a Rocket. Hakeem has 2 quadruple doubles.

Did some research!

The quadruple double has only been accomplished, or should I say recognized, 4 times in NBA history. Houston Rockets’ Hakeem Olajuwon was able to pull it off twice…in the same month…but the league took away the first one.

What many people don’t know is Hakeem’s teammate, Clyde Drexler, also arguably pulled off the milestone in 1996 but was “robbed” of an assist. The assist in question comes at the 2.26 mark of the above video. Without the assist, the 34 year old Clyde was left with the petty line of just 25 points, 10 rebounds, 10 steals and 9 assists – just retire Clyde!

What many people also don’t know is that a decade earlier, a high(er) flying Drexler was just 1 rebound away from a quadruple double in a game against the Bucks. His final stat line on that night was 26 points, 11 assists, 10 steals and 9 rebounds!

Clyde was just 1 assist/rebound away on two occasions! That's incredible. The assist that was taking away was on a fast-break pass followed by two dribbles and a layup. He was robbed!

I mean nobody can guard all time greats. That's the point of being all time great. It means alot that you can shift a player to guard different positions though . This is only reason why a player like Draymond Green is even a noteworthy name.

Also, he guarded Parker very well in their Finals series for good stretches . He's given great minutes on Drose and Westbrook as well in the playoffs. He's guarded Timmy too or at least provided some incredible help. I remember him swallowing Timmy's shots a couple times. And Splitter. Why exactly are you limiting it to series where he failed??

I miss the Dream. One of my all time favorites. I remember that playoff series where he wrecked David Robinson (another favorite of mine) afte he was named mvp.

I really fucking love the NBA. GOAT Sport. It's crazy how vitriolic discussions about players can get - probably the cost of having individuals/stars be the faces of teams and the league. A part of me wants to see a sweep just to see the meltdowns, but then the season will be over sooner :(

love being out might make them better if they can improve their defense? heh

but then again if they can't score...thompson sucks so bad on that end

I would start Mozgov and and Fyre together at least that would provide some spacing. Thompson being a zero on offense has really hurt the team.

I would like to see Cavs take this game just to make this series interesting and for the sake of my friends mental health lol

do you really want to draw out such a painful series? :(

Given that they got more free throws on the road, I'm sure they'll have a good 30-40 attempts to even things up.

lol wouldn't surprise me. Time for Lebron to take over! and to re-hire Blatt for a 10 day contract to get some defense going lol

You like to torture, don't cha?

haha I don't personally care and in fact I think the Warriors will win. I just don't want this to be more boring that it has been so far :S We won't have any NBA for a while after this man

Hakeem really did not get a ton of airtime and back then it was hard to catch anyone other then the local team. But I was a nerd and watched sportscaster everyday and checked the boxscores and Hakeem could put up some of the most ridiculous boxscores. I really have never seen a successful team that leaned so heavily on a single player (not even Lebron). Hakeem was their team's entire offense and defense. Not in stretches, for the whole fucking game. When he used to get in foul trouble in the playoffs the other team would go on like a 18-0 run over the next 5 minutes.

And no one in the NBA, including Lebron can guard 1-5. Lebron can definitely guard any 2-3 and he can handle most 4s, but if it is a truly elite post player he would be destroyed like any other small player in the post. We don't have more than 3 or 4 of those players in the league (if that) so you can definitely keep him on most bigs today who just spot up for jumper and dunks. And he cannot guard an elite PG who knows how to use screens. Parker undressed him and everyone else on the Heat in game 1 of the Finals. He didn't do much after he got hurt, but no one on the Heat, including Lebron, could stop him.

Yeah I'm probably rooting for the cavs tonight, even though I've been rooting for the Warriors ever since my Rockets got bounced. Warriors easily strolling to 3-0 would be so anti climactic and boring for this series. At least let it go to 5...

Love's 20 and 10 on a night like this will actually be a big miss for the Cavs.

Who is gonna step up in his place?

Richard Jefferson is gonna have to go for 40 tonight. That is the only way they have a chance lol.

I think Cleveland will win tonight. Somehow, some way. Lebron will hit some surprise jumpers and the other guys will hit a bunch of 3's.

I'd rather this be just an emphatic sweep just to get it out of the way and show the entire planet what GM Lebron really is.

the Cavs offense playing better just means they will lose 130-105 instead of 107-75. Their defense is straight trash. TRASH. There is no fixing that.
