Who is Regret Truth on here? They are one of my opponents.
In a crazy upset, the Columbus Crew defeated Arsenal 2-0! Arsenal pressed almost the entire game and had a fair amount of chances. A few were achingly close, but they just couldn't find the back of the net. Finally, in the 77th minute, Frankie Hejduk sprung Schelotto out wide on the right. GBS then placed a cross along the ground to Moreno, but Sagna jumped in the way at the last second, only the find the ball in the back of his own net! After such a hard fought match, he fell to his knees with his head in his hands.
To top it off, in the 90th minute Pat Noonan broke on the left side and placed the ball in the box. After a short scramble, Schelotto was able to tap the ball into an empty net! The game was certainly sealed away after that!
On Arsenal's side, one player can be singled out has having squandered numerous chances. Fabregas will have to take a hard look at his form, and work extra hard in training to get back on track. Arsenal manager, Viva Anticon, may want to consider giving him a rest for a couple weeks to show that the type of performance displayed is unacceptable for a top club.
(In all seriousness, it was a really good game. I was working my ass off trying to keep up the entire time! It seemed to be a classic time (this season at least) of the real Arsenal struggling against a lesser opponent. Also, I put 3 subs in right before the own goal, and unfortunately Viva ended up with the disappearing bug and couldn't see them at all. To be fair though, the OG occurred right after that, and none of my invisible players were anywhere near the ball. Still, that's such a shitty bug. I wish we could figure out how to refresh the models or something so we can clear it up if that happens. GG Viva.)

After the horrendous Portsmouth game (read: massacre), managed to get rid of the hangover from that game with an early goal against frenck's Werder Bremen.
Sadly, my joy turned to despair again as my central defenders watched Bremen breeze past them on three occasions.
I sense this isn't going to end well.
Still, Nicky Maynard has scored in every game and he's pretty useless in real life!

It's a treat for me to play in the league, so I'm not going to treat people like they're not coming in to work.

edit: by compairison, it looks like Portsmouth has an easy stroll through the park for the rest of the season, judging by the teams he has to play (not the managers per say). if Roxas keeps playing the way he has been playing.

last night i was all geared up to have a fun competitive game, and then boom. lag starts, all of a sudden Shinobis winger is streaking down the side, puts one in the area my defenders are like in outerspace somewhere and that shit goes in the net like slo-motion. a fair enough goal i think -despite the lag- but it was so frustrating.
i played my ass off for the rest of the game though, and it was still pretty laggy on and offf for about 1/2 of it. i just could not make any of my chances stick.
youve got one pissed off MLS team to play on Sunday Astro! (which should really improve my mood when i get whooped.)

It was an incredibly frustrating game for me, nothing seemed to go my way, and my one glorious goalscoring chance my B button got stuck & I blasted it miles over... I must remember to clean my controller before my next game.
Yeah dude I always spill beer on my controllers and right now rb is getting stuck. What works well is to use the handiwipe things that come in that cylindrical container...take out the battery pack and clean the shit out of the controller and the buttons. Press them down furiously, then let it dry for a day. I will do that tonight with my fifa controller since it's the blue one, my black halo controller will be getting plenty of action with gears of war 2.

Also, I think your defensive tactics may be too high. My defense was able to get behind you a lot because your backline was playing too high up.
I reduced "pressure" to around 30 and aggression to around 50. And I switched Offsides trap to "cover". This helped a lot with my defense because there would always be someone behind the ball.
if you switch aggression lower, it will go to "contain" which also might be helpful against faster teams.
with slower teams going up against faster teams...i'd suggest doing custom tactics for counter-attacking and just trying to make the most out of your chances while putting as many people behind the ball as possible.
also, sorry about watching the replay of the first goal. i was just excited that I finally scored a great shot with juninho.

Totally revamped my formation and custom tactics, think it's much better now. My shooting is still sub par...hit the post 4 times against Rob yesterday.
It was a screamer, nothing but offense...a great game.
