Well those are cheaper than what they are going for on ebay.

Wow, not bad.

Wish they had a bundle with just the book. Not a huge fan of those particular prints, already have the amiibo, wouldn't really want the lamp. Extender sounds useful though.

And none of them come with a second controller.

Really wanted a second controller but I went for the $153 bundle. I'm cool with getting the amiibo and that lamp is kind of neat but maybe I can sell that and the book to get some of the cost back. And I guess I can just return it all if I somehow find another NES Classic before it arrives. But that's doubtful.

Heh, I finally started to pull the trigger on the 129 bundle, and it gives me a 'no longer available' message at checkout.

Edit: But then I caved and bought the 150 bundle. I want that book darn it, and I really wanted to go ahead and secure the system itself so I can give it as a Christmas present. Pretty sure I should not have done that, but it feels better to get it over with. Between this and Amazon Prime today though, both lasting more than 0 minutes, I bet stock ends up much better next week.

So Gamestop is inflating the price? From what I know that lamp is 35 on thinkgeek, the guide is 20 bucks at most, the system is 60, and the amiibo is 13.. for over 150?

Managed to secure a Playing with Power bundle from Gamestop.

I feel dirty and ashamed.

Oh well. At least I'm not rewarding scalpers and I'm getting some extra swag with it, so that makes it a little more justifiable.

Got ya, saw that on Amazon and it doesn't seem popular, and also isn't 45 bucks. Guess the wait continues, least I got a controller :/

That book is rad. I kind of want the paperback at least.

That book isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

To be honest, to snag a NES Classic, it's worth paying for, but the book has so many editing problems and missing pages, you'll flip through it once and never bother with it again.

But again, as a guaranteed ticket for the system? I'd take the L.

I know for me I've completely lost interest. I'll eventually get one but I'm not in a rush. What a screw up by Nintendo.
Same here as it's pretty much too late for holiday gifts and I got a pretty good deal for that Alienware at GameStop so that's going to be my main emulation station for the kids.

Do we have any sale numbers on these things yet? The only sale data I saw was the first 4 days of japan being in the 250K range. Sorta curious how many they have manufactured so far.

I won't say I lost interest but still is upsetting. I dislike how there are so many saying Nintendo "messed up" and they lost interest yet still those that say otherwise because either they got one or say it's how business works.

No, Nintendo should have offered lengthy pre orders and also have plenty on shelves to buy for the holiday season. Instead we got the lucky few to get them to enjoy and scalpers loving it.

Beat EviLore at pool.
I don't even understand from the business side. Once Christmas passes, there are a lot of casual gamers that won't have any interest in this. It would have made a perfect gift and it would have been great fun over the holidays. I think there are a bunch of people that won't care after the holiday novelty.

Maybe they are hoping it lasts beyond Christmas till the Switch comes out. Which don't see like it will.

oh please do, I would love to know if this is actually Nintendo actively trying to make an artificial demand

So, you're saying Amazon is in cahoots with Nintendo on the manufactured scarcity?

EDIT - Looks like Gamestop's sold out of all the bundles now. Was a little tempted but I'm getting the AVS this Christmas so I can wait for a standalone unit at MSRP.
