The dialog is student film level bad.

"We can't change the past, but we can change the future."
"This is our chance to make a difference."
"If we do this, we do it our way."
"He's stronger than any of us. But he's not stronger than all of us!"

Trying hard to like this in any case.

Also it should be illegal for them to say things like 'From the studio that brought you Days of Future Past'

its the only worthwhile credit they can attach to this.

THE DIRECTOR OF CHRONICLE WHO TOTALLY MIGHT OF DIRECTED A STAR WARS MOVIE BUT DIDNT AND ALSO IS KIND OF A DICK doesnt have the same ring to it

Hobo Doom is shameful. Motherfucker was an inspiration for Vader's look and this is how you make him look in your movie? Fuck outta here.

Yikes, the casting looks terrible on literally every single character, give it to marvel or fix the dialogue somehow...

Barf

2005 was better

Yeesh... that doesn't look great. Doom in particular looks shitty; I'm not a fan of the tinfoil + melted black bags vibe he's rocking.

Marvel really needs this back. I don't really care about a FF solo movie, but they'd be great in one of the ensemble films and it would mean the MCU could get back Doom + Galactus. Goddamn it Fox.

GOG didn't have any hype either. And look how much that movie made

But that movie actually looked unique and kind of intriguing in advertising because it was something pretty different (in character and tone for a Marvel film).

Sure, this could be a surprise hit, but somehow it looks and sounds worse with every piece of info they release.

GOG had a fantastic ad campaign for a new property including commercials that introduced the characters well along with getting people interested.

that movie had a lot more going for it than this one. a LOT more.

and coupled with the rumors that this movie has been in just hell during filming and post, idk if its a fair comparison at all.

Idk looks boring. Which is a shame since the original teaser looked to be different than your typical superhero plot even if that's not what I wanted from the FF.
Also just make doom look like doom.

Unique and intriguing? Did you see that crow eating thread? Hundreds of posts saying it's a bomba.

The cgi for Reed stretching towards the end looked off to me. I don't remember Reed's cgi in the older movies being bad so I wonder how they could mess it up.

It was only a two second shot so I could have been seeing things...

even if you thought it was going to bomb, you could never say GOG looked generic.

this looks like the kind of movie everyone has already seen 10 times.

I've always said that the only good way to do a Fantastic 4 movie is to have a really, really good Doom. I think that if he has even half the presence he has in the books, audiences will really like it.

This is kind of like they took that advice and went in the exact opposite direction.

Just cause this needs to be reiterated again and again:

That's what Doom should look like. Fucking Fox.

When is this supposed to be out? It doesn't even look in the slightest bit ready. Most of the effects still seem like they need a lot of work. Looks like all the final fight takes place in one green screen room.

Ehh....the problem from the trailer seem to stems from the movie trying to be a superhero movie, and that's not good.

The scifi concept seems cool though.

There is something about the director of this film that I can't quite pinpoint. I think he reminds me of Troy Duffy and that's not a good thing. It occured to me after watching him in the SDCC FF Panel and listening to his latest interview on Kevin Smith's podcast.

It's a better trailer than the BVS or SS.

The marvel posts are cringeworthy.

I think gaf is more interested in the brands than the content. It's just kinda pathetic.

I really don't get how, after this many superhero movies, they didn't just think "shit, we really should just have Doctor Doom look like fucking Doctor Doom."

Apocalypse doesn't look any good either. I wonder if fox is even competent enough to get the costumes right.

SS was a teaser, not a trailer.

im no marvel fan but how in the world you think this looks better, purely taken as a trailer, than BVS or SS, idk

"what if I say no ?"
"say yes"

is probably the worst line in trailer history

Also, bet 5 bucks that doom is the kid with reed in the intro

I don't really get what looks particularly bad about it. I wouldn't say it has me particularly excited though either, and the design of Doctor Doom is not good.
But otherwise, it looks like pretty much what I expect of a modern comic book movie.

they gave up even making this 3d, which is a good thing i think...but the way they did it is telling

Fox's Fantastic Four reboot will not be released as 3D as originally planned, according to a report from Final Reel.

Recent promitonal materials and adverisements for Fantastic Four have removed any mention of 3D, and so Final Reel reached out to Fox for comment. The studio replied, confirming that the film will not receive a post-conversion into 3D and sending along a quote from director Josh Trank:

I want the viewing experience of Fantastic Four to remain as pure as possible for the audience, which means in 2D, just as we shot the movie.

This news follows weeks of rumors suggesting that the film had gone over budget because of necessary reshoots, rumors that Trank has outright denied. This latest news will likely only fuel those flames.

that, to me, is fox saying "omg screw it just put this shit movie out already we're done spending money on it, putting it in 3d will just cause us to make even less money"

take it for what you will though.
